I have not heard of Stick drift for this system yet. This article doesn't really even show it to be a real thing.

When you have outlets like Eurogamer/IGN misinforming and never correcting, flooding gaming news with ragbaiting and engagement farming (only feeding the trolls to create more) well, you have these examples of it "trickling down effect" where smaller outlets want to emulate (and gain that farm) in the process. Gaming press was already in the dumpster a long time ago, but since Apr. 2nd, they all shot for a new low, and are still riding that wave today.

I don't think that's entirely fair. For starters, the content of this article - clickbaity title aside - seems pretty comprehensive & well presented. I think it holds up on its own merits for the most part.

Aside from that, the "7 reasons" article itself generally praises Switch 1 and uses that praise to contrast their complaints with Switch 2. It's not, say, trashing it compared to newer gen consoles or something. The conclusion feels pretty balanced, and echoes a lot of what you've read elsewhere. All said, and perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't really see what the agenda here would be.

And some of the points are at least valid points of conversation:

Poor Screen Choice (ghosting/response time issues, well covered at this point), Lack of Analog Improvements (experts & enthusiasts generally agree we're looking at similar tech to the old, failure-prone design), & Dock Compatibility issues (a somewhat fair complaint, as its a regression from Switch 1's flexibility to use external USB-C displays with no way to achieve functional parity: if the fan is required, then allow us to play the handheld settings/resolutions when lacking a cooling dock, or introduce an accessory to do so).

There were a couple "meh" points, and 1 I'd categorize as a pretty poor take (not needing new hardware), which was weird and poorly argued. But overall, title aside, it felt like a largely inoffensive piece.
