Nostalgia washed over me as I played the indie retro platformer, Drop Wizard, developed by Nuetronized. For only 2.99, I was dropped into a colorful pixel world with old-school 16-bit music. This title pays homage to it’s 80’s arcade ancestors. To say the least, I was excited to see the action arcade game finally come to android.

TouchArcade: I absolutely love Neutronized's pixel art stylings. They added a lot of flair to their previous games Roar Rampage [$0.99] and Lost Yeti [$1.99], though both were darn good games in their own rights. Now they've returned with another pixelly game, and one that pays homage to single-screen arcade classics like Bubble Bobble with Drop Wizard [$0.99]. It's definitely a game that's paying homage to the classics, and feels like it'd be a great fit in an arcade cabinet from 25 years ago or so. But Neutronized don't just rest on their laurels with the retro homage, they actually make a game that's remarkably clever in and of itself.

TTP:" Another arcade game with a classic flavor is going to be released on the App Store later this week, a game that will make fans of the classic platform game Bubble Bobble quite happy."

Neutronized has announced their next game, Drop Wizard, is coming to iOS on January 8th, 2015.
Drop Wizard is a single screen arcade platformer, and is inspired by games such as Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros.
