a 70 year old fanboy woohoo

InMyOpinion6423d ago (Edited 6423d ago )

I might be 360 biased but this is ridicolous.

The PS3 has lots more than just Blu-Ray as a USP. First of all, it's a Playstation. Brand recognition. Secondly, free online. Thirdly(!), the Playstation exclusive games like MGS4, Killzone 2, God of War, LBP etc.

And also, it does not have any hardware issues, which has become a big selling point for some.

The numbers you pulled out(of your...) don't mean anything unless you can provide a source.

It takes no genius to see that you only write these junk articles to get site hits. Either that or you are in some sort of psychosis.

Mr_Potato_6423d ago

Yeah, brucemyballs for the win. Even the RROD is 'elegant' for this moron.

morganfell6422d ago

The only surge was an electrical surge...followed by a bright red light. Three of them actually.

Traveler6422d ago

Woohoo, a bunch of 5 year old Playstation fanboys who cry whenever somebody doesn't agree with them that the PS3 is god's gift to humankind!

"In Italy and the UK (both big Sony strongholds) The 360 now outsells the PS3 two for one."

O RLY???? ITALY??

source please!!

InMyOpinion6423d ago

"In Italy, we were double PS3’s sales last week. In France and Germany we are at or better than PS3 consistently now. We dominate in Russia and the Nordic countries and in Spain – a traditional Sony stronghold – we’re now outselling PS3. It bodes incredibly well for our Christmas prospects."

Who can you trust? How do we know he's telling the truth? I take back some of my criticism, but you should always post your sources in the article.

Danja6423d ago

Well they just had a major Price Cut in EU so wow thats such a surprise , the question is can sales keep up..will the 360 continue to outsell the PS3 at 2:1 in these countires..the answer is :NO..

why haven't they released sales figures for these countries..no wait why dont M$ ever release actual sales figures...??

jaysquared6423d ago

You can never trust company propaganda. We really dont know how many 360/PS3 sold there are in Europe or the world. All that we have to go by in the end of the day is when the Sony and M$ report their financials. The closes thing to being accurate is NPD but theats only in N. America!

green6423d ago

No problem bruceongames but at least add some more info about the PS3 as Jenzo pointed out like wi-fi,free online etc, inorder to make it sound more professional and less fanboyish.

theKiller6422d ago

all these people will get RROD and then u will see them whining every where on how MS is unreliable with 360 and RROD coming back strong with the NXE!

besides we all know how MS calls shipment as a sold consoles.

0verdrive6422d ago

ho ho ho

that was probably the most blatantly biased "articles" that ive read on n4g in the past two weeks. this should not have been approved.

Johnny Cullen6422d ago

Well done, Bruce.

You've gone and made yourself and idiot once again.

Does your wife (even if you have one, dare I say it knowing your stupidity) even think your stupid?

Wouldn't blame her if she did.

Go away and stop posting sh!tty little articles on N4G.

WANNA GET HIGH6422d ago

How mny of those consoles are gonna be returned due to the warranty up and what just happen with another OUTBREAK OF RROD......

Im not beaing a fan boy,im just saying the facts.... check my profile (-_-)

cherrypie6422d ago (Edited 6422d ago )

@1.11 "wanna get high" & 1.7 "thekiller" above;

"what just happen with another OUTBREAK OF RROD.."

Total. Absolute. Fiction. The only places "reporting" that BS is blorge.com, qj.net, BLOGSPOT and N4G -- who gives air to such BS. I honestly feel sorry for you if you actually believe there was an "outbreak of rrod". RRoD is a compontent-level problem (unmounting) caused by heat. Its is, 100% and completely and totally SOFTWARE AGNOSTIC. NXE did not, and cannot cause an increased likelyhood of heat failure.

Besides, the heat-issues were RESOLVED in Summer 2007. Its really sad that you're here trying so desperatley to spread such tired FUD.

Give it a rest. You're only embarrassing yourself.

"You can never trust company propaganda."

Have you ever heard of the SEC?

These are publicly traded companies; are you children even remotely aware of how ridiculous you sound?

Listen, publicly announcing sales data has to mesh with their published financial results. You know, ACCOUNTING filings.

Sheesh, you kids need a hard-lesson in reality. Its tough, I know, but the bottom line is this: The Xbox 360 -- as a brand -- is DOMINATNIG the industry. Even more than Wii. Based on total sales. Valuable community (which leads to *more* sales -- heard of Facebook and myspace? think of LIVE as the *community engine* for gaming; believe it or not, but LIVE Anywhere is going to extend through Zune, Xbox 360, Games for Windows, MS's casual properties (MSN.com, Messenger games) and the rest).

This is the "battle for the connected living room", and Sony and Nintendo are being beaten very very badly.

As a PS3 user, I have never had a chance to watch a Blu-Ray as of yet, or chose to for that matter.
No, I bought my PS3 for the future continuation of PS brands and more from my favourite developers, such as Naughty Dog and Insomniac, not as a Blu-Ray player.
Also the online gameplay thorugh impressive FREE service PSN, built in WLAN, free 'Plug and Charge kit' also, Sixaxis, which, even though people originally joked about, has turned out to be a pretty good feature.

I also can't understand how you can say the design of the 360 is 'elegant' I mean, Bruce is apparently on games and the game industry so much; he can't spell 'Blu-Ray' properly.

Silogon6423d ago (Edited 6423d ago )

Bruce your facts are offensively wrong... On all fronts but "xbox live is the best online console service" That I agree with.

however, since97% of all games are multiplatform we're going to go ahead and check off "The biggest and best" line up of games. Please... The Ps3 has more exclusive from in house than Microsoft has defective units.

Also, a sales spike in Germany and Italy cause of a 200 dollar price point is not indicative of "outselling by 2 to one now" You even said so yourself with your japanese numbers rant.

Then we have the "elegant" look of the xbox 360... hahahhahaha, man that made me laugh. Ps3 is the best looking console ever made. It's also the best built console. I love how you didn't put down the 38% defective ratio in your xbox 360 order sheet, pal. That sure is elegant...

Bruce you're information is terrible and I'm asking you, we all are... please stop. We know you like Microsoft and want to sleep with Bill Gates. But your actions are pretty painful to see unfold.

Oh, by the way... surge this

xbox 360 US sales - 12.4 million units
xbox 360 European sales - 6.8 million units
xbox 360 Japan sales - 776,899 units

Do the math and tell me those numbers come to 25+ million, Bruce.

Traveler6422d ago (Edited 6422d ago )

Oh, so now the failure rate is at 38%? Damn, you are such a lying troll. Even the 33% number that was bandied about was pure conjecture and never backed up by any solid evidence. Now you're trying to stretch that already suspicious percentage to 38%? Everything you wrote is way off base.

The 360 had 46 games in 2008 that scored over 80, the PS3 had 43. http://www.metacritic.com/g...
http://www.metacritic.com/g...

Furthermore, the 360 has a far larger overall game library.
Gamepro in their October 2008 issue reported that the 360 had over 3 times as many games as the PS3. Metacritic lists 522 games for the 360 and only 258 for the PS3. The PS3 has been out two-thirds as long as the 360 but it does not have anywhere close to two-thirds as many games--in fact, it's less than half.

You can't just add up the most recent sales numbers from the three major regions and try to say that adds up to the total worldwide sales. That's just lame, really lame. Those three regions are the major ones but they aren't the whole world. MS have reported that they will have reached 25 million by the end of this month and they have to answer for those numbers. It is extremely naive to believe they can just lie about those numbers and it shows a clear lack of understanding on your part that you think that they can.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.
