PS4 was unveiled in June. We are at the beginning of May. Relax! Sony is on the exact same trajectory as they were with PS4 information. At this same point with PS4 we saw the logo, we saw the controller, we knew the specs, and we knew of a few games coming. Right now with PS5 we've seen the logo, we've seen the controller, we know the specs, and we know of a few games coming. Nothing has changed!

It’s basic psychology. Fans want to see something tangible and real. It confirms to them that it is coming out this year.

Many factors can come into play for the need to see it, people that want it in a unit may need to know the form factor etc

That's like saying you know a car is fast, and your not bothered what it looks like.

When you buy a TV do you buy it because of the way it looks in addition to features? Me for example only buy TV's with the stand in the middle as opposed to the sides.

Some gamers, that are not loyal to plastic, may buy the one they like the look of more, especially where kids are concerned, they want the one that "looks the best".

So yeah, lots of factors.

Honest question jin but if it looked plain and simple... would it really turn you off of getting one or would you still get one regardless? If you say you would get one regardless then it really doesnt matter what it looks like. What matters most is the games made specifically for it.

it would be nice to see it, so i know what to expect in regards to my entertainment center. Knowing the SX is the way it is makes it super easy to put it in my setup. It's going to fit right behind my tv... out of sight out of mind and all i care about is what its going to display on what's sitting in front of it. Chances are the ps5 will be sitting right next to it so it doesnt really matter (to me).

Last Gen they showed it in June. They will do the same thing this time.

Fans would love to see the console. Necessary, no, but again it would be nice.

Sony has seriously f'ed this up, but let's be honest......as soon as they show the console and a few games, if it looks dope and the games look great nobody will give a crap.

I would love to see the final design of the console, but I fail to see why it will have any influence on whether or not one buys the thing. We know the specs, so I hope they reveal some of the games soon. The games are what matters in the end - at least to me.

With that being said, I totally understand why you are anxious to see the design.

Yes there is, but that didn't stop either Nintendo or MS (their presentation is literally tomorrow) from showing something regarding their games/hardware. I understand that Sony has the rights to reveal their stuff whenever they want, but they are being a bit too slow with their reveal.

Sony isn't under any obligation to do what Nintendo or MS does.

What they want when they are ready not because a few impatient “fans” wanna see it. The console is getting bought regardless of what it looks like. I buy a console a games console for the games it offers nothing more nothing less.

DJ stotty while looks might sell something for you I prefer to go on what they actually offer I don’t care what a telly looks like unless it’s bright yellow or something ridiculous but if it’s that good a telly and offers what I’m after then yellow it is. Looks can be deceptive. We all want info will I survive a few extra months without info. Yeah. Just because a few people here demand it 😑😑🤣
29315;🤣 who cares it’s May we weren’t buying it til Oct/Nov anyway and if it’s a budgeting thing how does it effect it keep saving until it happens. I’ll decide nearer the time myself could happily get one day1 but having such a great library of games from this gen still no major rush here.

No matter what you want to see, or hear re PS5.... At least, for me, as has been their MO... Games will keep coming....
Maybe its just me, but I always find MS games Shiny, Full of Gusto.. Like a LA of sorts....
Not that thats bad..... I just like the more off centre games... Def more adult/Mature Generally, and as MS have screwed me with a situation, not even considering my story , it then became a personal thing, I was already teetering with their business practice history.....a dealing that sealed my utter dislike for the company...
And, Those that are banging at the bits saying they want info now, almost as entitlement , are some of them possibly the ones that state "PS games that come to PS Now are multiplatform... I can Play it on PC".....

That doesn't entitle you to demand anything. I'm a customer, too, and I'm happy to hear details whenever they decide is the right time regardless of whether I want to hear something right now. They didn't do a full reveal of the PS4 until June 2013 anyway, so I think we can expect to see something by June for the PS5. I don't think we had any more information about the PS4 at this time during the lead up to the full reveal, either.

It's not unreasonable for you to want to hear more information, but that desire for more information isn't owed to you just because you purchased a PS4. And owning one doesn't afford you any special, inalienable rights.

Your entitled to your opinion of them being slow with information but if you look at previous revelations they are right on schedule. Some people are just impatient because they think that Sony has to react to what MS has announced already.

Sorry i wouldn't, i would rather not play the games and buy a different product, i am not loyal to plastic with a manufacturers label on it. Most of my family and friends are on xbox, so for me i am automatically leaned towards that platform, if they were on Playstation, i would be leaning that way.

I respect Ryan´s history at Playstation and I think he´s more than qualified to be head of Playstation. But this is now.

no, they don't. sony coasted to 2x the sales of microsoft this gen. they know what they're doing.

I’d like to see more but I got actual games I can play instead of just watching and waiting for things to happen in 6 months. That’s a lot of games I can get through and I’ll watch the reveals when they ready. Gameplay would be great but this whole Sony need to do it now. Not at all. They still supporting their current system with top notch games.

Seeing the console won't make it come out faster. And you still haven't proven that Sony's strategy is lacking. 3 out of 4 times winning. With the other still beating Microsoft releasing much later.

But did you want to talk about games? Sony destroyed Microsoft there too. Trust me, you don't want to bring this gen's games into the topic. It would be embarrassing for you and Microsoft. Or, how about awards for games? I could embarrass you there too.

Sells It seems is all that matters to some I as a gamer could care less about who sells more I care about games period plus I dont get anything from it but some bragging rights
