How is it under appreciated?

The game is short as hell and is lacking so much content

The content there is good but overall it’s not something that should be praised as they might get the wrong idea that they don’t have to try in the future

Kakashi Hatake2222d ago

The game is about as long as a campaign in 2. People are exaggerating about the length. 2 has a second campaign but 90 percent of the locations are the same.

Prubar2222d ago

No this is incorrect. I played both extensively and I sure as shit wasn’t able to beat RE2 in an hour and a half like RE3

-Foxtrot2222d ago (Edited 2222d ago )

I took time my on both RE2 and RE3 yet RE3 flew over

The things in RE2 missing were smaller then RE3. In RE2 most had been remixed better and giving us a new take but RE3 they were gone completely.

A fan made this to cover how they could add stuff back in and it shows you what’s missing

you can beat RE2 in 2 hours but it takes a ton of playthroughs. RE3 you can beat in like 90 mins on your second playthrough.

CrimsonWing692222d ago (Edited 2222d ago )

If I speed run RE3 I can do it in 1 hour and 5 minutes.
If I do the same in RE2 it’s about an hour longer.

Now, I love RE3, but you cannot deny that it didn’t deserve more content. They cut out things from the original that could’ve given this game more. I think that’s where it rubs people the wrong way.

We wanted to see things all remade in current-gen and for reasons I will not understand they decided not to include those areas and the worm boss.

DangerousDAN2222d ago

You're right, original RE games were always short and so was the Re2: Remake. Difference is RE2 gave you plenty of reasons to go back and play it several times and it felt great each time; RE3 does not. The removal of content and Nemesis' downgrade is nearly insulting, as well.

neutralgamer19922222d ago

Kakashi

If you're going to remake something why not add some more content at the very least if you cannot do that please don't remove any content that was already in the original

no one can say it's a bad game you can clearly see the quality but you can also clearly see that Capcom did not give the developers enough time for this remake compared to RE 2 remake

I just don't understand when people say well it has this much compared to the last game we are asking for more content and as a gamer you should always say yes to that instead of defending the fact that they cut out areas which were in the original game

On the topic itself it's sold so well that is getting the recognition that Capcom cares about and has money

bouzebbal2222d ago (Edited 2222d ago )

Lol are u serious??
RE3 is the shortest of them all and has no depth in the environment..
This remake has too many flaws and I'm not even having the courage to finish it.. I'm where I got vaccine for Jill this game is rubbish

seanpitt232222d ago

The physics and gore was downgraded so bad in 3 that annoyed me so much. That what’s made RE2 so good Capcom response the engine can’t take it because there is more zombies on screen in 3 I call BS they was just lazy and they rushed the game out and probably had a year less dev time than 2 and it shows massively.

BlackTar1872221d ago

I beat re3 like 6x in 2 days.

I want to play it because i loved this game back in the day but I'll want until this goes on sale to $20 which will be soon I'm sure.

If any resident evil game deserves more recognition its Code Veronica.

ChipChipperson2222d ago

In all honesty, wait until it is cheaper. RE3 Remake isn't a terrible game by any means, but the original RE3 is my personal favorite in the series, this game unfortunately, just disappoints given how much it costs and how many improvements could have been made.

JokerBoy4222222d ago

This game is amazing! The only issue I really see is the lack of Mercenaries Mode and the horrible $60 price point. Ironically, Resident Evil: Resistance is actually really fun, but not big enough to justify that $60 price point.

immoracle2221d ago

If by really fun you mean 'zero atmosphere, clunky, bullet spongey scramble to the end goal,' then yes Resistance was "fun"...

JokerBoy4222221d ago

Dont know what to tell you... I didnt say it was perfect but I enjoyed what I played.

giovonni2222d ago

I mean by far it’s not a bad game at all. It’s just shorter than a midget on his knees. It took me 2 hours to beat 3. Mind you, I was pussy footing around taking in the scenes. In my humble opinion, the praise it’s getting is enough. It’s an excellent game that’s missing a lot of content that was available in the original. I think two is the better remake, but I digress.

It was good but very light on content and the worst of the Resident Evil remakes so far sadly. It could have been so much more :(

Very disappointed with it to be honest. Just doesn't stack up to RE and RE2 Remakes. So much cut content. Lazy copy and paste zombies from RE2. Same outfits on them etc.

Not much in the way of enemy variety, cut locations etc. Minimal replay value. Fun whilst it lasted but to say it's better than it is is to encourage lazy development practices

BlackTar1872222d ago

They WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY overplayed the Nemesis panic. He was barely a problem then he quickly turned into something that isn't scary at all.

ChipChipperson2222d ago

I was very disappointed with how underwhelming Nemesis was in this game, he's one of my favorite RE monsters. The previews made him look awesome and menacing, but once you start playing past his first encounter... well, those grenades you came across seem to get the job done in terms of getting his loot and getting away from him pretty well, but it's also predictable when he's about to show up. He really was a push over in this game. His forms were even more disappointing. I don't get why they made his final form so similar as Birkin's final form in RE2 Remake.

Wolf8732222d ago

Exactly, while a solid game it does not hold up too well with previous two remakes solely because they rushed it, cut lot of content and gave action too much focus. Even the original didn't have this much action. And I agree with the rest, they completely botched up Nemesis' threat and menace and made him a scripted enemy. Mr. X feels more threatening than him now and it's nauseating for me to say that, since Nemesis is supposed to be infamous tyrant who scares you stiff after all. And I don't mean his difficulty level as a boss, I mean his scare appeal!

Shame on Capcom for allowing this to happen, they should not have bothered with Resistance and instead allocated all those resources for the main game and had more content. Ugh, whoever headed this game's development is a friggin' nutcase. And quite without any shame at all, there aren't doing any DLC to rectify the problem. No they rather use RE3 as a stepping stone for RE4 remake, pathetic really. My favorite RE game used a puddle cover to walk over from.

The UK Has Gone Mad for Resident Evil After the Huge Success of Requiem on PS5

Capcom recently released Resident Evil Requiem, and it's been so successful that it's seemingly dragging along every other Resi game with it.

That's certainly true in the UK; the latest physical retail charts have come in, and the top 10 includes five Resident Evil games across all platforms.
