I agree. The original game deserves more recognition. I'm not sure about this remake though. It's not terrible, but compared to the RE2 remake...

I platinumed Resi 3 in 2 days. Took me 2 weeks to platinum Resi 2. Resi 3 is a joke.

Re3 definitely was a disappointment when it came to the campaign length, but the reason why it was so hyped was because of the next generation graphics that it introduced. I understand that they made the game campaign short because they spent all their time making the graphic designs great, but that's not what a whole game is about, so no, re3 doesn't deserve more recognition, just because the game has good graphics, doesn't mean it's good. A game can have a great story and an actually LENGTHY campaign and be good, but re3 threw that away and nerfed the guns that were so great in re2, carlos's assault rifle was shit, and the overall game was, "okay", I liked it but it was too short, so I didn't get to enjoy the campaign that much.

It's not the length that is the issue but the lack of fulfilment when you finish the game. This game should have been priced appropriately as it doesn't have much content.

If any Capcom game needs more love, it is Dino Crisis. And Maximo.

It's the original that is underrated because it was playing second fiddle to the fan favorite RE2 anything after that are to be judged harshly unless it's a continuation of Leon story which was RE4.
I can't say the same to RE3 Remake while both have their own lazy sections that didn't improve upon the original but RE3R have too much scripted set pieces making the short game feel even shorter.
I don't support a rushed game to please Q2 earnings,sorry.

Resident Evil 3 Deserves More Recognition ?... no... No it does not. They had the fucking template on how to remake the game, but they decided its better to already make the game a lot shorter than it originally was by just boldly removing content, and removing the thrilling feature of where to escape option when nemesis appears time to time.

It deserves more recognition as an example of how the lazy millennial developers over at clueless Capcom fucked up. Folks, the reality of the situation is that Capcom didn't hit that home run with this all new edition of Resident Evil. The sooner you fake Resident Evil fans wake up and smell the coffee, the better we'll all be.

RE3R, and Capcom, deserve a kick in the ass. They had a real chance to improve on the original and put out a top notch RE game, but instead they rushed a subpar product to store shelves.

It was fun, but had very little replay value compared to 2's remake. Honestly should have been $40.

I was lucky enough to get it as a gift, but don't think it should have been the full $60 considering how short it is with almost zero reason to replay.

I wanted an RE3 remake since the original RE3 was awesome it looks great using the RE Engine. Where this game gets its recognition is that its short half of its content was chopped out, it feels more like add on content then an actual game, and the fact Capcom is charging full price for this game brand new where it should be $40 brand new. This is where RE3 gets its recognition my honest advice to those who want to play RE3 wait for it to go on sale or if you find it dirt cheap used then snag it avoid paying full price for RE3.

I beat it 5 times already, so I’m good with what I got. RE2 technically had more content I beat it 4 times.
