In this week's episode, Kiaun will discuss the Playstation 5 allegedly being priced at $499, Xbox is getting a custom limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 themed console, we get a release date for Streets Of Rage 4, more rumors are circulating about the new Batman Court Of Owls video game and the Playstation 4 exclusive Wild is still being developed.
This week the podcast crew discusses Darwin’s Paradox, South of Midnight, and games on the horizon.
Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 Pro delivers strong ray tracing upgrades, though PC maintains an advantage in global illumination and path tracing.
I wish when anyone does performance comparison videos of consoles vs PCs, they would include the cost of that said PC they are testing it on. As a non-tech person, I know how much a PS5 (Pro), Xbox Series and Switch 2 cost but no idea on the PC side. It doesn't make sense to do a comparison between two products where one is $450-$700 range ($900 now with the new price increase for the pro) vs PC that cost who know how much.
In other news, that new Honda civic has impressive performance but falls short of the Lamborghini.

Push Square: "Cyberpunk 2077 is effectively a must-play on PS5 Pro. The ray-traced modes have left us thoroughly impressed, bringing an entirely new sense of visual depth to an already outstanding open world."
PS5 Pro showing its well worth the investment, it’s nice to have a capable console option and I really wouldn’t have minded is series X had gotten a soft refresh too. I was actually hoping it would but it only got the 2 TB upgrade.
Since I will not be getting a PS5 Pro, I have started a list of games that I will play on PS6, that will run the PS5 Pro version (or native PS6 if updated) at the best possible resolution and frame rates. This is one of them.
Still love how I picked up a physical PS4 disc of this at Best Buy for $10 a few weeks after launch because of how bad it was on PS4. The physical disc came with a ton of stuff too, like a map of night city and postcards.
I have a feeling that the plan is to phase out the One X and replace it with the Series S (lockhart) for the same price. All rumors say that it may be lower in TF (4tf compared to 6tf of the X) but it will actually be more powerful overall due to having a much more modern CPU and the GPU is also more optimized. Not sure on memory, will it be 12gb or will it be 8gb but if it is to be the new "X" replacement then it will need to be equal to or greater than the X.
the SX will be the top line next gen. The SS will be the middle tier and the existing XBO S will be entry level (if they decide to keep making it strictly for Gamepass)
Makes sense to give choices of price for next generation. For next gen MS did their homework and they will start to see the results of that commitment.
Couple of points:
*Nothing replaces real sports but it would be cool to have virtual sports besides real sports played by the real athletes in control. With VR support to watch within the games, races, etc. Would be fun and more money generated throughout.
*I think Sony is going to come in at $399 based on history. Only $499 if they want to make up losses from corona virus shutting thing down and hurting Sony's revenue for 2020.
*After all the typical colors and custom franchise models, Nintendo's next release should be a VR Switch. No reason for a 3D model or a two screen model. VR should be next. It would help legitimize VR and cut into Oculus Quest's momentum.
*Sony's VR robot is a concept patent. But Sony is known for high quality robots like Aibo The Pet Dog. I could see this releasing in Japan if it ever happened. I mean, the Japanese are already doing things like this which is awesome

What other country does this?
*As I've said before, Lockhart is a stupid idea unless it streams XSX games only. But you can do that with current hardware. So, it defeats the purpose of cheaper hardware. Xbox gamers speak so much about power, who's going to buy a gimped hardware system? Nobody. It's gimped. One system. One focus. One price. That's all. Unless you have two SSD sized systems. One terabyte version. One, 2 terabyte version for more internal storage. But a gimped model will not sell.
Lastly. I like the podcast and the easy flow of the host without slip up even though there's too much shucking and jiving. No lies or misleading. But too much joking. Maybe that's his style. Who knows. Maybe you need a side man or woman to break some of it up like New York style radio hosts. It's funny but too much for the whole show.
Good cast overall though.
