it s not a restriction ..it was a marvelous choice of direction....with static camera angles they managed to ceate better far more detailed and atmospheric environments(that even today there are no equals example-shty RE3 Remake) and also create proper walking -to-the -unkown atmosphere that is totally missing from today games ....

Today sloppy horror games (including RE 2-2 remakes) try to create atmosphere with minimal lighting and no colors mimicking lame holywood movies

Dude...no

The remakes are fantastic and are updated versions of the old games. The only issue with the RE3 remake is it's lacking content.

The remakes has a good direction Capcom should stick with for future RE games.

back then was implemented because indeed there was restriction in terms of visuals and how to create good environemnts ...so using this method they created far more visually rich worlds ..BUT ...the devs behind it they used it so geniously that created a whole new genre of visuals (by directing the static angles) which in a lot of ways surpasess some of todays visual works (as nowdays graphic artist and devs tend to do more and more cheaply works) ..... also was a super effective visulal technic that was not demanding for the system and now has been a bit forgotten

I sung the praises of fixed camera angles in the article!

There is something creepy about entering a room and hearing a zombie or other creature in that same space but not seeing where it is because of a fixed camera angle.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit6d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing6d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster926d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
