QuakeCon 2025 is officially underway, with the largest LAN party in North America also being the place for exciting news for id Software titles. From the return of a keystone franchise in the FPS genre to updates for DOOM: The Dark Ages, DOOM Eternal and more.

For me it's always been fighting games like SF, Tekken, GG etc.. it really gets my mental stack flowing and forced to take a thinking approach as opposed to playing brain dead.

Everyone should be ready to shoot their way through humans and demons by reading about the best FPS games on the PS4.
Let's not but say we did lol. We already know the game is amazing I know I had an awesome time with it.
The best action FPS this generation
You're a bit late to the conversation.
Doom Eternal was a good time...some new odd design choices, but overall good game. Doom 2016 still better.
To be honest, the only reason I liked doom 2016 the best is because the whole game didn't center around being a platformer. Yes, doom 2016 had 1 level in it where it was a jumping level, but the whole game wasn't like that. I also like doom 2016 more because I liked the design of the demons a lot more than I liked doom eternal style demons. The imps all the way to the mancubus looked a lot scarier than doom eternal imps and mancubus and everything in between. Doom eternal demons looked a lot friendlier. Not only were the graphic designs for the demons in doom 2016, but also the level layouts. Doom 2016 made you actually earn your rune challenges. In doom eternal, they just give them to you.and the killer for me on doom eternal was you had to pay an extra sum of money, just to be able to unlock an extra secret in the levels which were the Slayer gates. I LOVED doom eternal, but doom 2016 will always be better
