TheKoalition.com: I am sure we all remember around this time last year when the whole world was saying that 2008 would be Sonys year and the Playstation 3 would take it by a landslide. however I think it is fair to say that this has not been the case. Many thought that Metal Gear Solid 4 alone would be enough for Sony to excel and take the number one spot, and surely enough they did beat Xbox 360 throughout the first half of the year on the NPD numbers. However Microsoft always proves the power of their business by exceeding over the competition. So lets ask ourselves, Will 2009 really be Sonys year?
Alanah Pearce, who was a writer at Sony Santa Monica for several years and worked on God of War Ragnarök, has shed more light on the sex minigames which cropped up in the series' earlier entries.
Other than looking like that, why does anyone care about what she has to say about anything?
The PlayStation 3 is Sony’s most interesting home console ever, but what’s most interesting of all is trying to nail down the very best games on a console with hundreds of incredible games. Let’s give it a shot.
Sly Thieves in Time
Stay the Party
Portal 2
Dj Hero
Demon’s Souls
God of war Ascension
I've noticed a recent nostalgia for the PS3 and I don't get it for me it's been my least favourite generation to date and I've been gaming since the NES I just feel like the ambition of the developers outweighed the capabilities of the consoles so I remember lots of games running in the lower end of 20fps range and I remember for the first time ever actually disliking the duelshock 3 and it's curved triggers
Sure there were some standouts and great games but that's the only gen I switched entirely to PC gaming

Hugely disappointingly, it seems that Guerrilla Games, developers of the Killzone and Horizon series, may be done with Killzone for good.
1 was fine, overhyped as a " halo" killer
2 was a graphical beast at the time, and felt heavy
3 was good a refinement of 2 but not much else. weird audio issues environment were to quiet
shadow fall was pretty but bland
I dont mind if someone else takes up the mantle for the KZ franchise. We are several years removed from the first game. It certainly could use a remake to gauge interest in the rest of the series. I know it has its fans... Im thinking of how a proper reboot can rekindle that old dormant flame and bring in a new generation of fans in the process.
Would like a new IP before Horizon 3. Just because games take so long to make these days.
Yeah....I`d say that`s pretty much done already.
Also, Alot of people couldn`t name 3 2009 360 exclusives, which is strange for a system that`s been out longer.
They took 2008,In NA they're losing to Microsoft by about 20,000 units YTD,in Europe they're outselling Microsoft by about 380,000 units YTD,in Japan they're outselling Microsoft by...well,let me put it this way;Microsoft aren't outselling Ps3 in Japan.
Sony need to refocus their Marketing in NA,and 2009 will be another strong year for the Playstation brand
2009 will be over come Feb when Killzone 2 Hits
Never Mind BoTs
After the Ass Kickin the BoTs took this year
It might be a little easier Next Year
Killzone 2 is going to be big. It's going to be the hardcore game that draws in 360 gamers over to the Playstation 3.On December 3rd you'll start seeing leaks, and on December 4th you'll see why Killzone 2 is better than anything else on the Ps3 right now,Xbox 360 right now,and Wii right now.
The game that will draw in Ps2 gamers over to Ps3 is LittleBigPlanet, sales have already surpassed the 800,000 mark and it's the type of game that sells steadily throughout the years(like Ratchet&Clank).
You know you're right:
-Halo Recon is an expansion pack
-Splinter Cell is going fully multiplatform
-Star Ocean is a timed exclusive
-Alan Wake can be played without the 360 platform thus is multiplatform
Actually I think Halo Wars is the only 360 exclusive of 2009,that is if it's not coming out on PC as well.
And L4D is a timed exclusive,so 6 months from now you're going to see a Ps3 version.Will Ps3 owners care though?Nope.
Now on to Ps3:Heavy Rain is only on Ps3,Fat Princess is only on Ps3,GT5 is only on Ps3,Killzone 2 is only on Ps3.And God of War 3 is 2010 not 2009,sorry to disappoint you but Kratos needs more development time
