I am trading in COD for this tomorrow, anything should be better then that crap.

i played it already and i really can't understand why they did use the UE3 engine for it, the worst move ever... the same glitches with graphics, where every new scene starts blurred and it needs sometimes to 5 seconds till everything is looking sharp. There are loadings everywhere!!! before a fight - loading, after a fight - loading, wtf?? and the framerate is just horrible, when there is some more action on the scene, than you can see how all slows down a becomes choppy. The fights are too chaotic, and the main character run animation is like in a Benny Hill show :D i hope this game won't get scores higher than 6/10.

Allroundgamer....how did you come about playing this game so early? It sounds like you've played it for awhile or even finished it?

I'm looking forward to it - but I need reviews not scores.
From the game trailers i've watched and the interview at 1up.com...it sounds and looks cool. 1up may not be my review site of choice - but occasionally they get an interview or 2 worth reading.

They changed a few things in an attempt to appeal also to a western audience.

-the lead character is 18 not 15
-their's a lead female in FULL platemail and she's 40....again, not 15.

Those two things stuck out to me.

I never really understood why people go by reviews to buy games. You shouldn't let someones opinion always influence your decision to buy a game. If you think a game is cool, then buy it. Last Remnant looks really interesting to me, so I gonna buy it first thing friday and not even look at reveiws. Hell, all the dynasty warriors from 3 on scored really poorly and I love these games. Its jus something about them that keeps me playing.

i would buy this day 1. (not 360 owner) and when you guys say you wont be picking this up or wait for reviews it upsets me. cuz i only have a ps3 and ps3 is where the fan base is! why do we have to wait for last remnant? or star ocean? or for FF13 to be ported on 360 so it can be released simultaniously on ps3 in NA. thats really gay, and SE sux for not giving some piece of the pie.

Well looks like the 360 is going to re take the ps3 in Japan sales.

The Japanese version of Haze had better voice acting.

To me that is what made Haze horrific the characters were retarded and the voice acting made it feel like a cheap movie overall killing the game.

Japanese people aren't FPS experts or even care too much about the genre compared to the Western population... so Haze with better voice acting to them is a pretty good game.

But Japan DEFINITELY knows there RPG's and if they love it over there I'll love it over here regardless of what reviews IGN or GT throws at it.

star ocean.... my main problem with it is the battle system, it always has been. but i wouldnt trust metascores that much. some of the, in my opinion, best games ive played have low scores.

Agree 110% with Nier.
With all the praise Automata gets. Nier does everything better EXCEPT combat & graphics.
The story is better
Nier/Kaine/Emil > 2B/9S/A2
Humans/Shades > Androids/Machines

Disagree heavily with Zesteria being on the list at all, let alone #2. It was rUINED by massive input lag even on PS4, even though it was originally a PS3 game just ported to PS4. So it’s a 30FPS Tales game with major input lag? Nah, it ruined the combat.

The importance of a metascore is blown way out of proportion. It’s an ok guidepost for those who want to get an idea of what the critical reception is for a game at a glance, but let’s not forget that it’s an arithmetic mean, which is a number that can be easily influenced by outliers. The mode (most common score) is, IMHO a much more useful figure if you care so much about scores in general (which in itself is a figure with highly inflated importance).

All the Xenoblade games should be .5 higher than they are.

Those are all weak games.

Infinite Undiscovery need to remain that way. Tedious, tedious, horrible achievements, tedious. Easily my least favorite RPG I completed on the 360.

Infinite Undiscovery is one of the worst RPGs I have ever played with one of the worst opening acts to a game.

Lost Odyssey

The Last Remnant is very 6.5/10. The only reason I'd score it higher is because the music rocks. Star Ocean is amazing but the AI is really, really bad -- like the healer prioritizing attack buffs on a dying team.

Nier is amazing. The soundtrack alone fits the atmosphere so well. Deserves at least an 8.

Didn't realise Star Ocean was so low - bought it on release and platinumed it after about 200 hours or so. I enjoyed it but I'd only really played SO 4 briefly before that and none of the previous games. Obv since then I've played others but I still recall it being a fun game.

The Last Remnant you can't really judge based on its score last gen. The PC version and subsequently the PS4 and Switch enhanced remasters are much better. They've sped up the combat, fixed the vast majority of the issues and the game is in a much better state than the previous gen release. As such, the launch 360 version deserved the lower score (although again, I had 100% it) but the remaster deserves much more (which I think it got).

I've played Infinite Undiscovery and FF Type-0 but I can't really remember much of those but they were pretty average from what I do remember.

Lost Odyssey got a 78 which, although being quite high, seems low as the game was great. It's a game I wish had come to other platforms via the way of a remaster this generation, or even a sequel if MS were invested in their own JRPG IPs. Another is

Resonance of Fate is another game which got mid-70s yet is worth a look, especially the PC and PS4 4k remaster from a few years back. Meta doens't seem to have scores for the updated version, only the original, but I really enjoyed the bump in quality in the latest release.

Ni No Kuni 2 was way better than the Metascore.

Ehhh, idk, most of these are frankly pretty fitting.
