Outstanding continuous support for this game.

TheScotsman2229d ago

Yeah they took a lot of crap and could have walked away but they didn't, they knuckled down and righted all the wrongs, exo suits are awesome. Man this game is so different from anything we'll done Sean and your great team of devs.

CorndogBurglar2230d ago (Edited 2230d ago )

And let me guess, you have to collect mass amounts of resources to build several components to keep it fueled?

This game had so much potential, I even tried it after all the missing content was added, but it doesn't change what this game is at its heart. A resource gathering simulator thats mind numbingly boring. You literally can't even walk around without having the necessary materials to power your space suit, have breathable air, and climate control so you don't burn, freeze, or breathe toxic air.

one2thr2230d ago

You can literally buy all the resources you need to succeed in this title, with minimum effort, once you get your most minimalistic mining or farming operation going or a simple 2 system trade route run going.

Also you can literally manipulate terrain in a way, so that you can regenerate you suit tech.

This rant is unnecessary.

CorndogBurglar2229d ago (Edited 2229d ago )

Unnecessary? No. It really isn't. I played this game for hours on end and still had to collect materials to do pretty much anything. Maybe I didn't make it far enough to have the things you mentioned, but again, I sunk at least 10 hours into this game and was still running around collecting things just to do the most menial tasks. Clearly I'm a different type of gamer than you, because in my opinion, a game shouldn't take 10 hours before it stops being a tedious resource gathering game. And yet even with the things hou mentioned, something tells me gathering/creating resources and materials to be able to do things is still a large part of this game.

So again, no its not unnecessary. What's unnecessary is you acting like my opinion is invalid because I don't like a game that you obviously do. Even though I'm bringing up real concerns that made me dislike the experience.

Its fine if you, or anyone else enjoys it. I'm glad you do. But I didn't. You can either accept that this game isn't for everyone or not. But it doesn't change the fact that I'm mentioning valid things that could EASILY turn people off from this game.

Literally literally literally.

Literally anything else? I'm literally reading this and I'm literally scratching my head as to why you literally use the word literally so much.

Literally.

sampsonon2229d ago

I don't like anchovies, but i understand others do.

CorndogBurglar2229d ago (Edited 2229d ago )

Did I say anything about not understanding that others like this game? Or that no one else should like it? No. I just stated my opinion.

nyu12229d ago

I've tried it a few times after the many successful updates and still hated it but hey, it's just a particular type of game. E:D and SC are more my type of thing I guess.

Still respect the devs for how far they've come, and excited to see where this game will go. If they could have a proper next gen version, they could do SO much more.

CorndogBurglar2229d ago

I'm totally with you. Elite: Dangerous is fantastic. And I fully understand that there are people that like this. Thats perfectly fine. I didn't. Not sure why some people (not you) felt the need to get so defensive over my opinion.

mastershredder2230d ago

It’s like adding pointless to something pointless.

An environment generator that generates boring.

Now you can watch the wildlife AI clip and get caught in the terrain all from the safety of an Exo mech suit! because ... this game is just sooo.... engaging and interesting and extremely well thought out. Next.

Jrios3552229d ago

Then why are you here wasting your time writing about a game that you clearly have no interest in?

Maywell2230d ago

Another standing applause for Hello Games.

BABY-JEDI2230d ago

No Man Sky on PSVR is AMAZING 😉 I’ve literally spent days on missions, building, mining ect. Time really does travel at the speed of light.
Hello Games NMS is an INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT 🚀

mkis0072229d ago

sampsonon2229d ago
