I never understand these articles. "Don't remake 4 because some of us don't want this while some of us do"

Why would you not want this? There's actually some genuine interest that people want this, myself included. By remaking 4, they're not exactly ERASING the original are they? It's like with the whole female Ghostbusters. Although I'll agree it was a poor movie, it doesn't exactly tarnish the originals or erase them. THEY STILL EXIST!

I don’t see why they’d stop now. I could actually see Code Veronica next. It’d benefit the most. Claire looking for Leon, Wesker’s appearance as he continues to evolve. Then RE4 for next gen with all the flipflops, bells and whistles.

Capcom needs to Remake Resident evil 4 and, Resident evil Code veronica, Resident evil 0, Resident evil 1 using the new RE engine on PS5.

You don’t need to Remake 4. Code Veronica should be the one you Remake and for the love of god don’t cut content. You can make the story way more serious and change up somethings but Geezus quit cutting content.

I want an Re4 remake eventually too, but PLEASE do 3rd person remakes of the static camera games that haven't been re-done yet, first (RE1, RE Code Veronica, RE Zero, etc).

This article is pointless. If you don't want a remake, just don't buy it. But others are entitles to play a remake if they decide to make one. I am sure they'll remake all of them eventually anyway.

I think RE4 would do well with a good remaster. I know they did one years ago but a new one would be fine. It doesn’t need a remake like the new RE remakes. For remakes I want a full RE2/RE3 remake for RE1 and RE:Code Veronica. I like how they seem to be doing RE remakes for older games and also working on completely new RE games sporadically. So many people didn’t play the older games and they are arguably the best ones. So I think full remakes for those are awesome. Interested to see how RE8 turns out. But a lil worried about what they have been saying about it of late.

SHUT UP! An RE4 Remake could be freaking awesome! Especially if you wait and develop it for next gen consoles!

But that would be awesome. I mean, sure, doing CV first makes sense as it's the last of the original-style games. RE0 and the first REmake could also be considered old-style but with 6th gen graphics. So...maybe a remake of those (one of which would be a re-remake) does make sense too. But RE4 is showing its age as well. It's just not as old. Note, a remake wouldn't take away from the original (heck, I still love the PS1 games), but an updated version on something like the PS5 and XSX would be awesome!

I think what you mean is don't rush out a remake in 15 months.

You're kidding right? I'd much prefer they remaster this one. These days the controls feel clunky. A remaster with great graphics and re-tuned controls would be great.

I keep saying it the next remake would be Resident Evil Code Veronica since it is the true sequel to RE2 and originally RECV was supposed to be the 3rd RE game but since Sony did a deal with Capcom to have 3 RE games on the PS1 thats why we got RE3. RECV should be the next remake. Its a game that would do really well to be reworked.
