its worse than original one

koko_19882248d ago

Its very short, plus some content is missing from the original game, that's why review scores are so divided. Nemesis is my second favorite in the series after 4.

Gonna give this a miss after playing the demo. Loved the RE2 remake. Never played the original RE3, but find the Nemesis more frustrating than fun.

BigTrain2247d ago

Completely agree. I called myself running from him he caught up in 2 seconds. I exit the area, he burst into the next area from the sky out of nowhere, I run out of that area, he does the same thing. I stand my ground and unload my shotgun shells into him and he never flinched. I'm like, ok can't run, can't exit, can't dodge, can't kill this bastard, what can I do?!! Never mind, onto something else.

Seen reviews complaining about nemesis being scripted....show me one encounter with him on the original that isn’t scripted....makes me wonder if half the reviewers even played the original?

CrimsonWing692248d ago (Edited 2248d ago )

In the original doesn’t he sort of come out at different times like he’s on a timer?

I think the critics are wanting more of him being on a timer rather that him being a “set piece” sequence. I’ve already watched an entire playthrough of the game and I wasn’t bothered by how they handled him. However, he isn’t like Mr. X where he just constantly searches for you throughout most of the game.

I do think the critics are being re*arded with their low scores due to this and the length. That’s all the complaints i see in the negative reviews.

NapalmSanctuary2247d ago (Edited 2247d ago )

In the original he's totally scripted as well but it depends on where you go and what you do first that determines the script that runs.

DonDon30002248d ago

Doesn't matter if he was scripted in the original, the point still stands: people found him frustrating in this version. End point.

BigTrain2247d ago

Far too frustrating. I had to go watch a video to see if the demo could actually be completed cause what I was doing was not working, heh.

wwinterj2248d ago

Reminds me of those who say this remake is short as a negative when the original was short too.

NapalmSanctuary2247d ago

So what if the original is short. Many games back in the 90's were short. They changed almost everything in this version, yet the game length was the thing to retain from the original? That's just asinine.

Ultima662247d ago

You know, its not only the original to compare to.Nemesis overall design is steps back from resi2R tyrant. The reviews should reflect that as well.

I'm about to find out, as my copy has just arrived by post. I'm in the UK and ordered it from Shopto. With all the awful stuff going on at the moment and hearing that postal delivery copies for this title may be delayed, it was a welcome surprise to see it arrive a day early. Huge thank-you to our brave postal service for still managing to provide a service under extreme circumstances.

I’m not ok with spending nearly $100 for half a game.

DerekFlint0072248d ago

If that's US dollars you are referring to, I got it for approximately $49. UK price from Shopto was 39 pounds. My initial impressions of the game so far, is that the HDR implementation is a real wow standout.

As I'm currently stuck in the house at the moment and am lucky enough to be able to work from home, the price of the game is negligible to me, as I'm saving an absolute fortune, due to the bars & restaurants being closed.

I do appreciate though, what you are saying, and it is disappointing that the game, according to the critics seems a little on the short side. However, it may provide the perfect antidote for me, as I'm currently struggling to finish the endlessly repetitive Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

The UK Has Gone Mad for Resident Evil After the Huge Success of Requiem on PS5

Capcom recently released Resident Evil Requiem, and it's been so successful that it's seemingly dragging along every other Resi game with it.

That's certainly true in the UK; the latest physical retail charts have come in, and the top 10 includes five Resident Evil games across all platforms.
