Resident Evil 3 Single-Player Review - IGN

With a sublimely detailed world and breakneck survival-horror gameplay, Resident Evil 3 is just as good as its 2019 predecessor.

Excellent reviews! I can't wait to play this soon <3...

solideagle2258d ago

I am surprised that RE3 is 80% on meta than 90% compared to RE2.

The game is getting worse reviews mainly because it's a shorter game. Probably why they added the MP mode in to round out the value. I'm still excited though.

Same thing happened when the original was released. RE2 received accolades but RE3 got decent reviews. I skipped it for that reason but I'm glad I did because I can just play the remake. If the only nitpicks are being short and more of the same then that suits me perfectly.

Currently playing replaying the original...to maximize the nostalgia

"Resident Evil 3 is a good game that doesn't manage to reach the heights that Resident Evil 2 did. Nemesis has a great new look but he doesn't instill fear like Mr. X did last year."

^^^ From another reviewer who gave it a 7/10. This seems like an odd comment unless Capcom completely blew it here. I see a lot of comparisons to RE2 and the scrutiny us much higher for some reason.

whitbyfox2258d ago

Mr X was a small part of Resi 2 that got overblown in the remake. Nemesis only showed up sporadically in set pieces in the original Resi 3. I’m so glad they are sticking to the original.

9? Looks like a paid review especially when every other reviews are 7-8

Double_O_Revan2258d ago

Or perhaps different people have different opinions. And some people like certain thing while at the same time others dislike those same things. Crazy concept, I know.

MadLad2258d ago

If you want every to have the exact same opinion, then why bother even worrying about seperate reviews?

SyntheticForm2258d ago

Man, some of you and your fixation with reviews and perceived agendas.

Sell crazy somewhere else - we're all stocked up here.

I feel like they should have included the original games with the remakes they've been doing.
