Which NPC deserves their own game?

PCGamer: “ Alyx from Half-Life 2 is now the star of her own game, and Barney from the original Half-Life got his own spin-off in Blue Shift. Rebecca Chambers from Resident Evil was one of the protagonists in its prequel, and Gat and Kinzie from the Saints Row series became the stars in Gat Out of Hell. Let's not forget that every single Rabbids game is technically a Rayman spin-off.

There are plenty more examples of side characters who got to be heroes later on. But we're asking who should be next. Which NPC deserves their own game?”

This is gonna be weird but I'm gonna say the blacksmith aka "The Crafter" from Lords of the Fallen. An interdimensional being from "100 lifetime's ago" wandering through space and time drawn to these powerful crystals that are able to open even more dimensions for him to explore. Sounds like an awesome adventure if done right.

I want to see these.

1. The arrow to the knee adventurer from Skyrim.

2. Joker from Mass Effect

3. Dandelion from Witcher (must have boss fight where he has to sing it to death)

4. Ghost from COD:MW

5. GLaDOS from Portal

Out of anyone from Mass Effect a Thane or Garrus game would be better.

Joker is a good character but his back story is not really interesting enough to warrant a game.

Sully from Uncharted
Prequel before he meets Nate and how he met Marlowe.

Barry Burton from Resident Evil
Could do something maybe before he rescues Jill at the end of Resident Evil 3, maybe he runs into trouble with Umbrella before hand who knows.

Ish from the Last of Us
Imagine playing a new Last of Us game with a character then realising at the end he's Ish

Zelda from Legend of Zelda
I'd like a spin off where the whole "cycle of hatred" Link and Zelda are cursed into ends up having era where the roles are reversed. The Hyrule family have a son, name him after the fabled warrior Link and a girl in a village who ends up being this eras chosen hero is named Zelda.

I'd prefer a Shiek situation with Zelda, maybe where you're acting in Links absence (the gap between time jumps) in Ocarina of Time

That’s a good idea

It would be a spin off to the OoT

I was just thinking more of a spin off so they could give it a new title.

The Legend of Link

Definitely Sully. He seems to have a storied life, has a likeable personality, can fight, experienced with weapons, and can be charming with the ladies

Atticus_finch2260d ago

Wow, Ish would be awesome. Now that I think about it, we might meet him in Part 2.

King_Noctis2260d ago (Edited 2260d ago )

Zelda would be nice. They could get very creative with this. But they would have to change the title to The Legends of Link.

DMC - Vergil
MGS - The Boss
RDR - Dutch

Elizabeth from BioShock and yeah...that's pretty much it. Video game characters are pretty forgettable since a lot of the games play the same. Snake and Lara Croft are still the most popular non cartoony protagonists even 20 years later.

Gavin from Red Dead Redemption 2. I mean, wherever he is you know it's a wild adventure, thus best game of your life. He may be straight outta Maidenhead, but this guy is bad enough to be out of bubblegum because it ain't invented yet.

DerfDerf2260d ago

Actually Red Dead 2 takes place in 1899 while chewing gum was invented in 1848. Not exactly bubble gum but a chewing gum company created the brand of bubblegum in 1928

strayanalog2259d ago

Yes they did. Of course chewing gum can be traced back to civilizations around the world by 6000 years, but the modernization of it took place in the United States.

After all of the PS Studio games that released on Steam, I’m baffled Sony hasn’t gotten Alyx onto the PSVR2.

DefenderOfDoom2468d ago

I was thinking the same thing . No Half Life video game is available on PS4 and PS5 .
