This game looks solid. As a big tomb raider fan I am excited to see the direction that the series has taken after the terrible angel of darkness. I really hope this game will bring back the exploration aspect that seemed to be missing in Legend though.

My hopes are high thats for sure. Now, where are the reviews??

I just went out to buy it. Eb Games, Wal-Mart and Rogers video don't have it in yet(I'm in Canada). I am a huge TR fan as well played everyone of them. Some reveiws would be nice though.

Man thats a shame, guess you'll have to make a run tomorrow huh? I'll give you bubbles to ease the pain, and also because you're the only other Tomb Raider fan in sight haha.

Yeah I am pretty excited about this game. I played TR1 on pc the other day and it really brought me back. Theres just something about those games that is truly great, probably the exploration aspect and super level design.

I just hope this game will do well because I know a lot of people consider this franchise to be kind of dead, when in reality it is being brought back to life.

Also, some people may say Uncharted is better than Tomb Raider, and while I own Uncharted and have beaten it 3 times, I don't think it is quite as good as the Tomb Raider games. See, Uncharted has GREAT combat, but very linear platforming and no real exploration. Tomb Raider has decent combat so Uncharted beats it there, but WAAAY better platforming elements and exploration aspects. They are both great games in their own way but I really hope Underworld can show people what this franchise was always meant to be.

The Matrix6399d ago

There are a couple of BIG reasons why I might buy this game. :)

dude_uk6399d ago

can you elaborate on those reasons?

The Matrix6399d ago

Yeah, sure. #1 it' the next step of a game series that at one point revolutionized gaming and # 2 the attention to detail including the motion capture will ensure that this will be one of the top games of the fall.

P.S. I'm somewhat jealous of the limited edition. Here in the U.S. we only have a normal version.

PistolPumptMonk6399d ago

So what do you think of it? How does it compare to others in the series and other new games?

dude_uk6399d ago

dude...

itss waayyyyy better than any other tomb raider specially because they used motion capture on this one..

the climbing, shooting(two targets at once on ground and meele [backflip while shooting]) under water combat is cool too, jumping, swimming and puzzles they were all improved on.

its way easier to move now... though the camera is a bit tricky at first but you'll get used to it..

happy gaming =D

Demo was good so yeah definitely picking this up! I found it graphically superior and more fun than Drake's Fortune dats for sure! :)
