Joining us this week is Stefan M. Baier, Chief Operations Officer of Streamline Games and currently working his buns off on Bake n’ Switch. We discuss his a-dough-able PC/Switch title & discuss COVID19's effects on the gaming industry, especially the launch of next-gen consoles.

Cooking makes for great party games - just as Overcooked. Bake 'n Switch is just such a game, although it's a lot less concerned with recipes than you might expect. This one's all about throwing cutesy living buns into the oven at all costs, making for a simpler and more streamlined experience. The Switch version recently received a big update that will also come to Steam in August.
"The Southeast Asia-based indie games developer Streamline Games are today very happy and excited to announce that their couch co-op and PvP party brawler “Bake ‘n Switch” is now a part of the Steam Winter Sale 2020 ed." - Jonas Ek, TGG.

Developer Streamline Games have made their splash into the co-op party game market with BAKE ‘N Switch, a game about essentially throwing dough at more dough and occasionally towards an oven. With TEAM17’s Overcooked and Mario Party pretty much having this genre nailed does BAKE ‘N SWITCH have what’s need to “rise” above the rest.
Don't really think this developer has the "in" to make any assumptions.
meh, one mans opinion
No one can know, we must wait and see. Unless he has seen all the games ready to come out with the consoles, since that could be a win or lose.
Well, seeing as both are backwards compatible, at least many of Sonys most popular PS4 games and almost all Xbox One, a ton of 360 games , and some OG Xbox . Will be playable at launch.
Even if some games are delayed we can still play our current gen games on Next Gen systems. It would be awesome to have Zero Dawn, and Gears 5 to very little load time, and other perks. I just don't know which system I will initially buy!?!
I am really into my PS4 right now. I am glad I didn't get one till last Christmas. During "lockdown" here in LA, I have a lot to keep me busy!
I also just bought Animal Crossing Horizon digitally to play when I want to chill! I haven't played much yet. Just the very beginning where you pick your island and initial character.
Covid19 I do think will have an impact on launch, more lesser numbers than a delay though.
But,
We dont buy them for perfect launches!! We buy them because we love gaming and want to see our hobby at the next level, we know the games will come, even if the launch is a bit sparse, we know the hardware will have a few issues in some cases and offer improvements down the road but we dont care because that is part of the hobby. Not much better than a brand new console or consoles on launch day.
