CGMagazine takes the discussions of “crunch” to a Game Programming professor while learning about how the next generation of developers are bracing for impact.

Raise the stakes in Season 03, the next massive content update bringing new maps, modes, weapons, events and more across Black Ops 7. Brave the frigid winds in Multiplayer Map Beacon and fight in the narrow confines of a submarine in Abyss; push the rounds in the Ashwood Survival Map in Zombies and drop into the new Launch Pad POI in Verdansk. Plus, Endgame goes free to play for a limited time, with even more new content! Get the full details on this and much more so you’re ready to go when Season 03 launches on April 2.

Enter Black Ops Royale, the new Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty: Warzone that will support up to 100 players across 25 squads of four. Unlike the usual modes, there are no Loadouts, with all players beginning on an equal footing. You drop into the fray with only a pistol and a Wingsuit. There are no Buy Stations. There’s no Gulag. There’s no in-game cash. You’ll need to scavenge for loot, securing weapons, and upgrading them through rarity tiers to control the chaos, and annihilate enemy squads.

This is an interesting promotion. Those looking to add shaving to their COD experience.
Isn't the the whole thing about crunch is that those new to the industry aren't being prepared for it? Are only expected to do it cause that's the job.
This might be off topic but everything I learned in Uni didn’t really prepare me for anything, it’s when you start working do you really get how the profession you decide to work in operates.
