A few days ago, Microsoft confirmed that Project xCloud was coming to Windows 10. Well, it looks like Xbox head Phil Spencer is testing out the app at the moment.
Windows Central: "We caught up with incoming CEO Asha Sharma and newly promoted CCO Matt Booty to learn about what the future holds for Microsoft's gaming operation."
Technically, they've never brought it back. It's been downhill since Xbox One, which was its zenith. It hasn't 'gone back' since nor did it decline in such a fashion before.. We're dealing with a single peak company here, not multiple.
Only Nintendo can “bring it back”. WiiU to SW and SW2 is a crazy turnaround.
Sony and Microsoft have just been going more and more downhill.

The console launched a year later, more expensive, and with the worse version of multiplatform games and a weak online infrastructure. GTA IV also had the dlc exclusive for about a year.
Add in that X360 had a much better controller (and with force feedback), PS3 was painfully slow without installs, lacked a trophy system for a while, and came out within days of Gears of War and Wii...? Sony mounted a crazy comeback. And this is WITH Xbox having some killer exclusives including JRPGs like Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, and Lost Odyssey. To say only Nintendo can "bring it back" is just ignoring history.
It was absolutely Microsoft's generation for a while.
When? Xbox to Xbox 360?
They’ve been pretty much on a windy slope since the Xbox One reveal but even then s*** started to hit the fan with TV, Sports and Kinect at the end of the 360 days.
I’d argue Xbox completely lost their major advantages over the competition halfway through the 360 era. They came out of the gates, swinging and winning, with 360 being a HUGE success, especially in the West. Then, Nintendo had a hit with Wii & motion-controls, and Microsoft looked at that and said; “Hey, we’d like a piece of that pie as well!”. That’s when they changed course and started shifting towards Kinect. Which obviously was a huge flop.
That decision/change in direction pretty much was the exact same moment when Sony course-corrected their many errors with the PS3, so suddenly Sony made a bunch of good decisions to take advantage of Xbox dropping the ball. Lower console-price, free online MP, and PS+ which was offering 6 (or more) ‘free games’ each month.
By the time that generation ended, PS3 had won back a huge amount of gamers, plus they had the momentum.
Then, obviously, XBO was announced, and I think we all know how that went. They never recovered, and they keep making just absolutely terrible decisions.
Gamesbeat caught up with Blackley to extract some wisdom about Microsoft’s journey in games, what he thinks Sharma should do, and where gaming can go next. Part of his message is hopeful, but Blackley sees a lot of peril on the road that Microsoft is following. And it makes him worry about the future of gaming.
"I expect that the new CEO, Asha Sharma, her job is going to be as a palliative care doctor who slides Xbox gently into the night."

After seeing the article of the possible sunsetting of Xbox as said by Seamus Blackley I believe, I went onto X because of a post I saw. It was a gif of Vegeta powering up, the poster commented as Vegeta yelling “Don’t take my fiercest competitor away from me.” Standing there in his blue Sayian/Freiza corps outfit. So it got me to thinking, so let me ask a question to N4G.
If Vegeta is PlayStation, who would Xbox and Nintendo be in the Dragon Ball universe?

Original Saints Row design director Chris Stockman has declared the Saints Row franchise is "dead".
I just started this game last night, just the player creation had me upset. You choose male but they stand like a female. Eyebrows are all effeminate, face, and verything seems to be modeled after a female with a thin male overlay.
I only played the opening and didn’t even complete that before I turned the game off. I will likely go back and try it again, but a very weird first impression.
The franchise has been complete utter garbage for almost 20 years. The first one was the only decent game of the lot of them.

Honestly Janky Generic feeling titles with Humor that tried to way too hard. People criticize Borderlands for its humor, but holy hell, still leagues better than any SR.
Phil this, phil that, Ask uncle phil to let people play free to play games without having to pay for live gold. Phil sure loves his name being mentioned. I rarely ever see the sony or nintendo head always putting themselves over as much as phil does. nintendo and sony show games while xbox shows phil.
My Surface Go is willing and able. Just waiting on the green light now. xCloud will play an important role in many of my future gaming sessions.

Whatever you do don't make the same mistake as Stadia with the pricing that's all I really ask for at this point.
