there's some games in there but I'm definitely wondering what monolith soft has in store for switch owners as the releases have dried up a little. I'm definitely spoiled for games at the moment considering i just bought a switch not too long ago. With a ps4 and switch i've pretty much covered my bases.

Nintendo had been a little disappointing for me. I don't want games released years ago, I want more Nintendo exclusives that Nintendo is known for.

Good-Smurf2274d ago (Edited 2274d ago )

Didn't stop their fans to port begging though this past year it felt like that was all they did.
Tons of ports from 3rd party and Nintendo but barely new stuff.

There was plenty of new stuff last year aside from the ports. I still haven't played Luigi's Mansion, daemon x, ultimate alliance, Yoshi, Zelda, just to name a few. If you only play specific types of games then that's different. I play them all so there is more than I keep up with right now.

I think they are focusing on BOTW 2.

WickedLester2274d ago (Edited 2274d ago )

This is the most frustrating thing about owning Nintendo consoles and why they will never be my only or even primary place I play games. The Switch is a cool piece of tech but I haven't touched mine since beating Luigis Mansion 3 other than a few rounds of Tetris 99. I wouldve thought with not having to support 2 platforms, the frequency in which games would come out would be much greater than it has been. Geez if you take away all the Wii U ports, the Switch library would REALLY be pathetic.

Gaming4Life19812274d ago

Completely agree and I havent touched my switch in a while as well.

Exactly the reason why I sold my Switch, just too wide of a gap between each 1st party release.
It won't be so bad if Switch get the same amount of 3rd party support as PS4 but it wasn't,coupled that with almost complete lack of great racing games my Switch just sit in the case for months, high prices and low availability of titles here in my country things get too expensive having to buy both PS4 and Switch titles.
MK8 Deluxe saved me for few months until I tired of it and I already finished both Sonic Forces and Super Mario Odyssey left me nothing to do with Switch.
Felt a bit regretted spent almost 50,000 yen on Switch initial buy.

ECHOINFINITY2273d ago

You nailed it. With just one platform the library is abysmal. Where's the new Mario kart, Mario golf, metroid, etc it's a joke

All the insiders say this is going to be one hell of a year. Either way Nintendo's fiscal year is about to end so any announcements they're going to make have to happen relatively soon.

Empty is not really the right word. Currently there will be Animal Crossing, Xenoblade Definitive Edition, Bravely Default 2, Deadly Premonition 2, and Sport Story, along with Toyko Mirage Session FE and Pokemon Dungeon Mystery, both of which have just been recently released. BOTW 2, Detective Pikachu, No More Heroes 3, and Rune Factory 5 also have a really high chance of being released this year as well.

I do wish a Direct would come soon though. They have been light on announcements this year.

lellkay2274d ago

I must say very little of this interests me. You've made a point though, it's not empty. I think a lot of people are more underwhelmed really, myself included.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing28d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit28d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing28d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
