Yea it does, tired of these weak ass PS3 Era graphics and games like Doom running at 720p/30fps

I stopped playing Nintendo when i grew up.

As long as folks continue to buy their consoles in droves Nintendo will keep making these less powered consoles which I'm quite sure is cheap for them to manufacture.

meh. i haven't bought a nintendo console since the original wii(which was a massive disappointment to me), and them continuing down their current path ensures i won't be buying anything from them any time soon. it's good for them that so many others like their stuff but they lost me as a fan years ago.

Ill accept a switch 2.

The frame-drops, lag and slowdowns in Breath of the Wild say otherwise.

They started "next gen" already. The Wiiu was their current gen console and we all know how that went.

Yeah they don't need to compete graphically with other players in the market. There's room for the market for what they do and that's fine.

Neither does anyone else. Doesn't mean that they shouldn't do next gen, or that we don't want next gen.

Switch is good where it's at for the time being. Probably halfway through next gen, Nintendo will have something new. Personally, I think just a upgraded switch would be fine, because the current one seems to hit the right notes.

I think they need a powerful console that isn't a handheld all this talk about a 4k switch over the last few months makes no sense a handheld isn't going to run 4k not to mention the games will be to big. If they made a powerful console that can pull off 1080p 60fps constant they'll be ok I don't see PS5 and Xbox Series X hitting 8k like they're saying they're going to struggle. With Nintendo working with Nvidia they can make a home console that can pull off 4k 60fps but I don't think that's the way Nintendo wants to go if they did pull off a console as powerful as PS5 and Xbox Series X people would buy it for the exclusives.

The fact that its $450 for the pro controller and a game should make this holiday interesting. i mean for those on the fence about either the switch or next gen.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
