BY GRANT TAYLOR: Romance sells. It’s a fact – whether it’s a television show, movie, video game or book, everyone loves a relationship. It doesn’t matter if it’s canonical or a fanfic ship, some characters in games just exude that romantic, intimate bond. Gaming romances are everywhere, in almost every game that boasts some kind of story.
Of course, this doesn’t have to be a traditional romance. There have been plenty of instances when a character has become… unnaturally attached… to a particular weapon, or vehicle. Let’s recall a particular gruff cowboy in a semi-recent title who practically whispers sweet nothings to his horse…
So, let’s explore my top five gaming relationships! As always, these are my personal top five and do not represent the views of Grown Gaming as a whole! Don’t start complaining that I’ve missed out some Final Fantasy couple, or something. I’m afraid they’re not my cup of tea.
Without further ado!

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

The latest revenue report from CD Projekt Group shows Xbox only made up 10% of sales for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in 2025.
Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂
Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."
I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed
Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.
So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?
Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”
