KeenGamer: "Compared to the overwhelming hype produced by the inclusion of Joker and Banjo-Kazooie, Byleth's inclusion as Smash Ultimate DLC has been met with a lot of criticism. With all the outcry, do fans have a reason to be upset with Nintendo? Or are they expecting too much with the power of possibility?"

"The Games Cabin Writes: It seems like I chose the perfect time to reflect on Smash 4 trailers along with Mr. Sakurai."

Rango writes: " When the Kingdom Hearts protagonist, Sora, entered into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the roster was finally complete. With all 79 character slots filled, the days of hoping for your favorite character to appear in the game are over. All that's left is the potential for balance patches to follow in the coming months."
Im sure the pros will use him to great effect thanks to his airborne nature. As a casual but fairly serious player I find his moveset to be effective but extremely boring.
Tekken's devilish antagonist Kazuya Mishima is the newest character to join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. Coming along with Kazuya is the Mishima
Has he ever been on a Nintendo system before? At this point Smash is a collection of all gaming.
Don't play Smash but this trailer is hype. That ending with Kirby was epic but I was kinda wishing for the pile of bodies to be at Kazuya's level by the end
No I dont think it was a bad idea.People were expecting too much and assumed every new fighter was goIng to be from a 3rd party dev. I knew Byleth was going to be added at some point as Fire Emblem is a big seller for Nintendo. I'm also fairly certain a Sword and Shield rep will make it in at some point and people will be in an uproar over that.
The only character that was greeted with little critism was Banjo. Joker, DQ Hero and Terry all got greeted with cheers and jeers. Either for being too new like Joker or being obscure like DQ Hero and Terry where their popularity is region specific. Hero being big in Japan and Terry being popular in S. America. Hero was also slammed for being another sword fighter and the only thing worse than that now is a Sword fighter from Fire Emblem these days.
No point in sulking about it now, especially when we’ll get the next new character by the end of spring
If Byleth was a bad choice, what does that make Terry Bogard?A lot of the smashers I've seen complain didn't even know who he was lol, at least most Switch owners are going to know Byleth.
As a casual fan of both Smash and Fire Emblem no it wasn't run but considering that this particular battle pass was mean to insert characters that you wouldn't normally see in Smash it was quite a bone headed decision to include a Fire Emblem character since they've had characters from that series since Melee.
