There are lots of things going on behind the scenes that people wouldn't understand, and the companies may have good reason for holding back. No one wants to play a broken game. You get nothing but disappointment, like when they released WWE 2K20 and you were glitching out and missing your face.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.

If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

Today, Koei Tecmo announced its financial results for the full fiscal year 2025, related to the period between April 2025 and March 2026.
It can also help too!
I rather have the developer change the release date and give a more polished product than a rushed buggy game.

It really all depends. The FF7 remake was moved into SE's next fiscal year so it may be that the game was more than ready on 3/2, but SE's upper management forecast their upcoming year as needing a boost.
Just don't plan your vacation around a release date lol
Not as badly as shipping a bunk product. It only hurts if you have put millions into marketing, built hype and then the delay/disappear. That hype build was a complete waste of money and it’s not the kind attention you want. If you have put little into marketing then it doesn’t hurt at all.
