However, instead of using the Wii Remote like in Deca Sports, Snowboard Riot is controlled with both a Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The game is also compatible with the Balance Board, but this control method was not on display."

MyWii writes: "Snowboard Riot is a typical snowboard racing game, but with the addition of guns and blasters. Orbs scattered across the racetrack give you cool defensive/offensive items to use on other racers, including bombs, missiles, shields, and turbo boosters. Four customisable characters are available with different attributes."

As with its boxed counterparts, there's a variety of control schemes and balance board support too, all of which work fine and none are insultingly simple. In fact, there's nothing particularly wrong with this WiiWare offering, but it's just so limp compared to those 'big' titles. Sure it costs a whole lot less, but this is a false economy. You'll have to take that up with the G20.

Snowboard Riot isn't fun and it's a complete waste of ten dollars. With games such as Mega Man 9, Maboshi's Arcade, and the Art Style being available for the same or lower price, it isn't difficult to see that the game is way too expensive. Hopefully Hudson will continue making higher-quality games on WiiWare and not experiment with anything like this again unless they absolutely know what they are doing.
