Resident Evil is the zombie horror game, but its shambling corpses are slow and easy to avoid. To reinvigorate the series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis created an unpredictable nightmare man who attacked unpredictably with terrifying speed. It robbed players of their sense of control, and in doing so created one of gaming’s scariest monsters.

Capcom has announced and released the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 on Steam.

This month, unleash brutal finishers in the reimagined Mortal Kombat 1, swing through Marvel’s New York skyline as the iconic web-slinger in Marvel’s Spider-Man, or gear up to repel swarming alien forces in Earth Defense Force 6. All these titles and more are available in August’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. That includes Sword of the Sea, which releases day one into Game Catalog. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis bring retro survival horror to PlayStation Plus Premium. All titles will be available to play on August 19*.

Thank GOG for that!
I feel like they should have included the original games with the remakes they've been doing.
Mr X was creepy AF, I'm excited to see what they do with Nemesis.
Indeed, and in a remake he will be even more so.
Refresh my memory: was Nemesis a chaser like Mr. X? If I recall, he was more of a jump scare programmed into certain portions of the game.
Hope Dino Crisis is in the block for the remake next can't wait for RE 3
Nemesis was made even more scary with the way it appeared (like from a belfry in flames or in cramped spaces where you definitely didn't expect to run into him), and above all with the minimalistic yet chillingly unease-inducing music that accompanied his lurking around. Whenever you were in a "safe room" but didn't hear the soothing tune but those low-frequency strings, you knew you were in for some spasmatic chase in the derelict streets of Raccoon City when you got out, lol
Here's hoping they'll work on that, as there was still room for improvement. How cool would it be if the music in safe rooms changed dynamically and all of a sudden Nemesis broke into it? Imagine you're walking along the wall and suddenly two arms catch you through it and tear you off and you're suddenly on the other side, lol. That would be insane.
