Well by the comments it’s obvious some people feel some type of way.

I realized what Resident Evil 6 was doing a long time ago. Each person paid an homage to the older entries style of play. I thought it was fine and beat it several times with friends.

I couldn't play it, I found it awful.

Main established characters not knowing what a zombie looks like and acting like it was the first time they had seen one.

This is the only game that made me completely lose my temper and launch my conroller at the wall, smashing it to smithereens. If memory serves me correctly, it was out of a sense of utter frustration just trying to climb up a rope towards the end of one of the campaigns.

Mercenaries is amazing. Leon's campaign is decent.

Its very bad, but like all games the less you spend on them the less angry you are if they are not so great. Imagine if you pay for a game lets say 5€. And 60 for same game

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Easily the worst of the numbered series.

The gameplay was fun at times but the layout of missions holds the game back, especially when it suffers from your typical "style over substance" scripted moments.

It's bad, needlessly long, redundant campaigns, a ridiculous story (they pardon the person responsible for the outbreak that KILLS THE PRESIDENT), they make zombies intelligent all of a sudden (the underground dungeon traps are operated by a zombie using a crank), the list goes on. Mechanically it's probably the best controlling RE. But everything else was crap. No need for revisionist history suddenly vindicating a game thats put the main series on hiatus for 5 years.

If it didn't have the Resident Evil name it would be a 7. But apparently it's a Resident Evil game so it's more like a 4 for me.

When compared to previous Resident Evil games it's not so good. However, when compared to every action game on the market at the time it released, it was amazing!

If Capcom had released it as a spin off instead of a main entry it could have been recieved more positively.

RE6 was an exercise of excess for the series.
4 drawn out campaigns 1 of them barely passable and the other 3 are just bad.
It was kinda fun as a inconsistent action game but a terrible RE game flaws are plenty,the bullet sponge bosses didn't helped,enemies have random hit points sometimes they drop rather fast and sometimes you emptied a magazine they still alive,excessive QTEs,worse rougher graphics than RE5,lackluster skills slots replaced weapon shop,unlockables are not worth time grinding to unlock it and somehow it takes a skill slot if you want to use Infinite Ammo this ain't MGS3 Capcom!
And how the hell this game don't have god weapon like all the other games of the series even the hated Gun Survivor spin offs have Rocket Launcher,the most action packed game of the series yet it didn't have OP weapons just to goof around afterward what a disappointment.
I stuck with it for story and even then it still sucked hard.

I tried playing one of the campaigns and couldn't get into it back on the ps3. I think I'll give it another shot.

What? Oh is it because they weren't shooting black people in it like RE 5? Why don't you focus on making that big hit piece on Richard Lewis? Or better hereby don't you colaborate with Polygon and all your other cronies. Perhaps it will make a more convincing smear.

I remember buying this crap day one. Had to force myself to complete all of the campaigns. It felt more like work, than fun.

It was bad at launch with all the issues it was suffering from. Especially those broken quick time events. After all the patches, it's an enjoyable experience today. Far from the best RE, but it has its moments.

Not as far as an action,over the shoulder third person game but as an RE game it's the worst! I'm sorry I'll take RE7, RE1&0, RE2 etc. RE6 plays well but IMO it's not a good RE game!

I love part 4 and have bought just about every version that's been released but it's the one that started the RE series down a road that almost derailed it! Thank god all the backlash brought Capcom back to their senses. So I guess there is s plus to 6!

Chris personality is so much worse than re5, liked Leons campaign cause I missed him and nothing else special about it , bought the pc version cause it has some decent graphics settings.

I have yet to understand why Resident Evil 6 is considered a bad game.
Is the control bad? The sound? Graphics? Loading time? Bugs and similar problems?

The overall story was okay.
The game had 4 distinctive campaigns and each of them felt different and took several hours to beat.
The idea of joining someone else game as an enemy was neat just like the idea of a 4 COOP boss mode.
The mercenary mode was a blast like usual.

Now I can understand that some ppl were upset that it wasn't a survival horror game like 1 to 3 but to say it sucks because of that would be like saying that Ocarina of Time sucks because they changed the formula from an action game with exploration to a full exploration game with some action.

Yes,yes it is. It's as bad as the films. It feels like one of the films made as a game like Street Fighter The Movie The game.

I platinumed the bastard on the way to platting all the rest before RE2 Remake came out. Heard it was shyte, my god it’s better than 5 it has Ada Leon Chris and best of all Sherry it’s the sequel to 2.

The game's okay. Not as great as any of the mainline games but I'd play it over any of the bad RE spinoffs like Umbrella Corps.

Also, looking at the comments, it's rather mixed. Some like it, some hate it. Although, not gonna lie, the co-op was actually enjoyable and definitely the game's strongest point.

The worst out of them all. I played one story line & that was enough for me especially the broken qte.

Leon's campaign in 6 is better than all of RE5. Every other aspect of that game is trash though.

That said, who cares at this point.
RE is back on track after we diverted away from what series is actually supposed to be with RE4 onwards. Couldn't be happier as a RE fan right now.

Hard pass; also the first time I played RE6 was on XB1. Why the re-release? Unless they gave it a 4k 60fps update. Even with that I would never play it again! Quick Time gameplay with prompts?

RE0 is being remade, and there is a movie being made to go along with it!
