"On average, xCloud is slightly more sluggish than Stadia, and input latency feels a tad more extreme. "

Dang I hope it gets better but at least it's free and I be able to test it out at no cost.

Jin_Sakai2395d ago (Edited 2395d ago )

xCloud has worse input latency and is more sluggish than Stadia while outputting at only 720p.

Sounds promising.

Lon3wolf2394d ago

Probably why they have said they will release cloud gaming but the tech is not ready yet (as Google have found out).

Ricegum2394d ago

A lot of people on this site aren't going to like this news at all.

@CaptainTravel

“Yet still probably plays better than PSNow“

In the end I could care less which performs better because I’ll be playing my games natively without video compression and lag.

Xcloud will be free for gamepass ultimate owners, it wont be free for every user, it also does not let you stream any game you own, that's the console streaming you are thinking of which hasn't really been talked about other than being a secondary service to xcloud, but again you will need ultimate, it wint be free for everyone, Also psnow and xcloud perform pretty much identical, same resolution, same input and stutter issues on occasion, have you tried either service yet?

I was in the xCloud beta and while there was some small noticeable input lag at times, I was going from playing candy crush to Gears in 1080p on the toilet, I was ok with it.

ElementX2395d ago (Edited 2395d ago )

Sitting on the toilet for extended periods can give you hemorrhoids. I wouldn't read or use my phone in the bathroom. I'm finished in about 20 seconds because I eat enough fiber. I recommend La Tortilla Factory tortillas with over 50% of your recommended fiber in each one.

IRetrouk2394d ago

Xcloud is capped at 720p for now, how were you able to get it to output to 1080p?

chrisoadamson2394d ago

Hoe are you comparing a live service with one that's in development ? Doesnt make any sense

ILostMyMind2394d ago

PlayStation Now doesn't look so bad right now, does it?

DigitallyAfflicted2394d ago

just not enough advertised or over hyped.

NeoGamer2322394d ago

Playstation Now is a great service. I use it on my PC all the time in addition to my PS3 and PS4 Pro.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing51d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9252d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit52d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing51d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9251d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
