Where do Codemasters get the cash from?

Skate-AK2331d ago

Guessing the yearly F1 games. Dirt is pretty big too.

neutralgamer19922331d ago

Code masters have are wealthy developer

neutralgamer19922330d ago

I meant to say they are quite rich. They sold 50% to one of the richest companies in India so their parent company is faulty rich

Reliance bought 50% of code masters in 2010

Codemasters should Acquire NFS maybe we could get it back on original formula again.

by the way Happy Thanksgiving guys.

USMC_POLICE2331d ago

Dude heat is a huge step in the right direction.

sprinterboy2330d ago (Edited 2330d ago )

Forget acquiring nfs, but instead make a game to compete and blow nfs out the water.
Their is certainly a market there for another nfs type game but actually done right..
Edit: nfs has turned into a shite fast and furious TV game spin off, that's why they've been shite for the last 10 years, lost its identity of actually being a nfs game.

AuraAbjure2330d ago

Well the game awards 2019 nominated two of their games for best racing game 2019 so Codemasters aren't exactly slackers.

sprinterboy2330d ago

Codemasters do some great racers for sure.
I live within 20 miles of the devs in Leamington Spa, still hoping for that game tester job haha.
I think they should get Paul rustchynsky to head up the new studio and game imo.

Nacho_Z2331d ago

That was more than slightly mad wasn't it.

Applejack2331d ago

Wow, I completely forgot about that thing! I bet they’re hoping most people do too.

2ndhandcorn2331d ago

Wow big news there very cool .

xTonyMontana2331d ago

Good luck to them, hopefully Codemasters treats them better than EA did

Sadly when i try to checkout, it wont let me select United States. their site thinks i'm in another zone for some weird reason.

edit... it was my office internet being the issue. i did it on my phone through cellular and it worked. Got me a white one.

Neonridr9h ago

it lets me order from Canada.. only charges me $20 for shipping too.

That being said. Spending $533 (CDN) on the white unit for it to primarily just sit and collect dust would be a little foolish.

It's an awesome idea though.

darthv725h ago

I almost went for the ultimate edition... as that truly is the best deal. the games by themselves are $90 (US), that alone is $900 in value for all 10 titles. then add in the $250 for the console and wired stick. Another $120 for a wireless stick, $60 for a wireless pad and then $35 for the memory card. $1365 (US) if all bought separately.

Neonridr8h ago

congrats on the White one, it is beautiful and tempting... LOL

darthv727h ago

I just had to... I already have an AES with a multi-cart. But this thing was just too good to pass up. Especially since the wireless controller works on regular AES and the game cart does as well. Plus it comes with a matching white memory card.

Neonridr7h ago(Edited 7h ago)

@darthv72 - I'm not a collector of games for these retro consoles (have the Analogue Super NT (SNES), Mega SG (Genesis) and 3D (N64). But I just use everdrives with each system as I only have a couple of SNES carts and only 2 N64 carts. A lot of these games are stupidly expensive so I'd rather just invest in a single everdrive and then I can just run every game. However the everdrive that works with the AES is $600! Crazy stuff.

darthv726h ago

^^...that is why i got one of those 160-1 carts off aliexpress. it works great. and yeah i use everdrives and ODE where available. i do like to buy PS4/5 games and Switch stuff though. I dont buy much in the way of physical XB anymore, I just use GPU to play what I like.

Rebel_Scum6h ago

Had no idea SNK were still around tbh. What have they been working on for the last decade or two?

rgraf776h ago

Samurai showdown, a couple King of fighters. Fatal fury games have all been released

Huey_My_D_Long4h ago

Bought and owned by the Saudi Family now

PRIMORDUS5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

This brings back memories. I remember when I first saw Neo Geo back in 1991, it was $649.99 at launch, which would equal $1,575 today. I was thinking holy shit who is going to buy that when SNES was $200 and Genesis was $189. Well I was wrong, 😂 it sold for 14 yrs. My ringtone is the Neo Geo jingle https://www.youtube.com/wat... 😁

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH5h ago

Definitely picking up that Ultimate Edition.
