Stadia Has Already Failed

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "In the week since its botched launch, Stadia has been beset by a host of issues, many of which were long predicted by either games industry analysts or players. Well Stadia is here. And it's a disaster that Google, despite their clout might not be able to salvage."

Good because you don't like competitions?

JEECE2343d ago

Good because we like bad competitors to do badly in competitions.

Rachel_Alucard2343d ago

What competition? They provided nothing over the competition. What they advertised the product could do, didn't even happen. Plus it's way more expensive then its "competition" if you wanna call it that.

reaper6022343d ago

Good because it's a pile of shit.

Brave_Losers_Unite2343d ago

CaptainCook is a Stadia defender! HAHA!

Stopac2343d ago

Guys help me pick out my dress for the funeral

UltraNova2343d ago

Its only competitor at the moment, PS Now, remains the better more, competitive solution so in terms of competition Stadia can tick another fail box.

brrdat2343d ago

lmao look at all these idiots responding to you. "good because we like bad competition to do badly" how is "competition" ever bad? that contradicts the entire concept of "competition." but i'm sure in his small head he thought that was an epic retort. the next guy says it's "more expensive" despite this being disproven about 100
times already on the stadia subreddit. he claims they "provided nothing" which is blatantly false, and the only reason they are getting upvotes is because of hivemind culture. gamers can't think for themselves.

Army_of_Darkness2343d ago (Edited 2343d ago )

Good because we don't want a streaming service for our video games. I don't want to depend solely on perfect internet service Everytime I feel like playing a game. Needing internet for a single player game as well?! F#*K that sh*t.

because Google is a trash company...

Edito2343d ago

Good because Google tried very hard to prove that the established formula is a thing of the past knowing that it works and everybody loves it...

paradigmfellow2343d ago

This is not competition. This damn thing is horrible for the gamming world.

Dragonscale2343d ago

Good because it shows that most gamers aren't interested in a rip off, badly implemented, crappy streaming service that has a bad launch line-up.

djl34852342d ago

Is Microsft, Sony and Nintendo not enough competition for you?

Great to hear. This is a future we don’t need.

UltraNova2343d ago

...but they [corporations] want. I wonder who will win in the end...

brrdat2343d ago

i wonder when gamers will stop circlejerking each other and reiterating the same old nonsense they heard some other gamer say. the braindead logic is a future we don't need either but unfortunately because of the low iq of gamers, we're stuck with it.

ScootaKuH2343d ago (Edited 2343d ago )

Exactly this. If this is the future for the games industry then it's a pretty bleak looking future.

Have streaming as a compliment to, not a replacement of dedicated gaming hardware.

Google are barking up the wrong tree here. They wanted to control everything, and take any element of ownership away from gamers. I'm glad it's failing

The Wood2343d ago

Some people just gobble s#it up. You're branded an idiot for expressing the disdain for Google entering the market with a half baked service. It can be a future, doesn't mean it's everyone's future.

D__RAiL2343d ago

it actually hasn't failed..but whatever works...and sorry to tell you this is the future of gaming...why do you think everyone is investing into it...you will want this future because it will end up being far better than conventional gaming consoles.

outsider16242343d ago (Edited 2343d ago )

Google should have just a made a badass game console that can play both online/offline games. Sure, add in the streaming thingy too.
It would have turned differently.
Then there's exclusive games..

UltimateOwnage2343d ago (Edited 2343d ago )

Cool. Now investors can quit banking on finding more lame ways to transform gamers into subscribers. It must annoy them that people still like to own things when they’re asked to pay the same prices. Now if Microsoft could take a hint...

SockeyBoy2343d ago

Why ms? It's an option for Xbox owners, not the only option.

jznrpg2343d ago

It’s an option now, but in the future it could be your only option. They are headed that way

Profchaos2343d ago

Microsoft have been trying to sell Microsoft word as a subscription for years now they won't get the hint

OneLove2342d ago

Onlive did what stadia promised to do 10 years ago.

Jin_Sakai2343d ago

And did better job at it. Crazy how ahead of time OnLive was back then.

D__RAiL2343d ago

I can tell the people that actually never tried Stadia...its actually a great product...people hate change and its why you see people being toxic in the comment sections and lots of hit pieces..sorry to you tell but these services are here to stay and more are to come.

kreate2342d ago

@D_Rail

Why do we need to try it? To keep the sales number high and support a idea we dont like?

Retroman2343d ago

And Onlive , Ouya is waiting for Stadia at the National Rejection Center.

paradigmfellow2343d ago

Onlive still sucked. Streaming games suck in general.

D__RAiL2343d ago

PS Now sucks but Stadia is actually legit ..some of the games are not coded well for the service but the ones that work great are near flawless.

BlaqMagiq12343d ago

As it should. Now we can get back to proper gaming.

D__RAiL2343d ago

you are going to be really mad in the next four years...especially when exclusives come to streaming services and you will still to be toxic and say its bad when thats not the case at all

BlaqMagiq12342d ago

If you expect this to be a thing in the next four years especially exclusives on streaming services, you are really gullible. When most console gamers can't even afford fast enough Internet to stream games across Stadia, putting ANY exclusive on streaming services would be shooting yourself in the foot.

But you keep thinking streaming is the future and that's a good thing.

The7Reaper2342d ago

It's okay, you're just in denial about Stadia because you don't want to admit you wasted your money, it's okay, we've all been there.
