Death Stranding Review - CheatCC

Death Stranding might be considered divisive, because both its story and gameplay are strange. There are people who will find it laborious. Others will find it to be perfect, as though it was specifically made for them.

zumlauf142385d ago

has a high score. "good review" LOL

Hardiman2385d ago

Can't speak for CaptainHenry but for me it's s good review because it detailed and conveys why they enjoyed DS. The scores just the icing!

Bruneblomst2385d ago

He made you laugh out loud Because he liked the Review?

yoshatabi2385d ago

Must have not read the review. It's detailed and well thought out compared to most

"There are people who will find it laborious."

Aka, the game is laborious but I'm a Kojima fanboy so I tricked myself to thinking I like this kind of gameplay.

generic-user-name2385d ago

Show us on the doll where Kojima touched you.

Elda2385d ago

I'm not a Kojima fangirl at all. I find the game intriguing, interesting & refreshing, something different from the usual games that I play or always hear about. Like they say don't knock something before you try it,I tried it & I'm enjoying it so far.

solideagle2385d ago

bro/sis there are games which some people like and some people don't. it is one of those games e.g.

souls genre: for me its depressing, so I only played demon souls 1 and dark souls . never touched this genre again
Divinity Original sin: I couldn't play it without guide, I think its not for me

but I can see these games are created with passion and care. I think DS also falls in this category :)

Chaos_Order2385d ago

Funny. Back when MGSV came out I blasted it to no end and got called a Kojima hater. Now I'm loving Death Stranding and suddenly I'm a Kojima fanboy. Amazing how that works. :)

Hardiman2385d ago

Careful there don't use common sense around here!

Veneno2384d ago

And me. I simply point out what the reviews are saying and I get cried at by the fanboys as a hater. I haven't play the game yet. And it's not my feelings about the game . It's the damn review!

DaDrunkenJester2385d ago

Lonely lads play this sad desolate game farming for Facebook likes to try and make their menial walking seem like something more.

Bruneblomst2385d ago

Did you play the game? If not, why do you Think your opinion means anything?

Hardiman2385d ago

It's strange because when I don't like a game I don't stalk articles about it to how much I hate it or troll people who actually do like it! It appears he's a sad person.

Hardiman2385d ago

For someone who doesn't care about a game you sure do take up a lot of time and energy commenting on a game you'll never play.

For the people who hate Death Stranding why to you people feel you have to comment on every article? Can you just leave people who enjoy the game alone and stop attacking them.

robtion2385d ago

Unfortunately a lot of sad, angry, and lonely people out there. Hating things gives them something in common to bond over and makes them feel part of a group. Also gives them some attention so they don't feel invisible. Plus a bit of catharsis as there would be a degree of envy as they are not able to play the game, and finally there are the bandwagoners. Adds up to a whole lot of negativity.

I think the game is brilliant.

Hardiman2385d ago

EXACTLY I was just asking the Joker who comments in every freaking article just to say how bad he hates s game he'll never play! You can't make this stuff ip

rainslacker2385d ago

It would make more sense if DS was being pitted against another game, like we saw with Horizon and BOTW. But in this case it isn't. That leaves the Kojima hate bandwagon and PS exclusive being more obvious reasons why we see this. Because any game that doesn't have those things tends to not have people spending a week or more spending so much time trying to bring it down, or those who may like the game.

I mean, I wonder if they think people actually believe they don't have ulterior motives.

cochise3132385d ago (Edited 2385d ago )

Score looks about right. Amazing game so far. Only people hating on this game is xbit; when was the last time they even had a decent new IP. And people who aren't fans just say the game isn't for them and keep it moving not complaining about it like some of you.

Duke192385d ago (Edited 2385d ago )

2 buddies have bought the game make it sound like its been closer to an "ordeal" rather than a pleasure to play lol. Im so torn on this one - review sites seem to rave about it, yet other feedback is that its just not a fun game to play.

May wait for a price drop or borrow it

Ratty2385d ago

I don't know about them but I'm having a lot of fun with it. It felt a bit like a chore in the first few hours but I got hooked a short while later. It's still slow-paced but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

But like everything else not everyone is going to like it.

Hungryalpaca2385d ago

Some of the boredom is intentional. Makes completing some pets very rewarding. It’s very difficult to describe but I defiantly love it.

rainslacker2385d ago

If they don't like it, then borrow it and try it yourself. Use Shareplay and play for a while on their systems. Think some people forget that feature exists.

Make up your own mind, and you don't have to worry about other people's opinions.

Hideo Kojima put Low Roar in Death Stranding because gamers need more culture in their lives

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Cool, as long as no one is losing their job while already rich people make more money.

Notellin218d ago

Exactly this right here. Tools should never replace creators.

DarXyde218d ago

I feel that this is the position of every sensible person. However, we face two prominent issues:

1. There are nefarious actors (like Microsoft) who want to prohibit AI regulation. Some US states have some regulations in place, but it's very patchwork at best.

2. Without strict quality control and human review, AI is very likely to hallucinate in embarrassing ways.

TheEroica218d ago

Lol.... People are gonna be losing their jobs...

Travesty219d ago

I’m all in favor for faster developed games.. that’s been the Achilles heel this gen.. taking 5+ years for development. If it can help with building vast landscapes then let it be. A win win if it doesn’t endanger the jobs of current team. They can help in other areas.

Gamersunite880218d ago

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

H9218d ago

I don't doubt kojima that he has good intentions and would use AI without compromising the creative process, but you know for sure other development will say the same and have AI make the whole game for them.

Notellin218d ago (Edited 218d ago )

Yeah and whoever he works for or whatever AI models he chooses to use will train on his data and work to replace Kojima themselves.

I can't imagine any other creator in gaming that demands the salary size of Kojima.

rlow1218d ago

What I wonder about, let’s say five years from now. Will an individual be able to make a triple A title using A.I…If so what would be the need for others? I hate to say it but eventually people will loose their jobs. Because I hear no talk about the ethics of using A.I. among the big companies.
