MTs and live service... Diablo 4 with a side of Destiny

People seem to upvote "no problem, it's cosmetic only" comments for this story but they'll downvote any similar comments for other games. Are they playing favorites because it's Diablo? Personally I don't care if MTs are for cosmetic items.

Cosmetics are fine. But no stats or boosts or anything can be added to them !!!!!!!!

When is this game coming? Played so much diablo 2, not so much diablo 3, but still was impressed with the gameplay from 4. I hope more gothic graphics and less cartony.

That game officially destroyed any interest I had for it the moment I read "online-only". They couldn't pull it off with 3 and they're trying to do it with 4 thinking we haven't forgotten the bullshit. I think Blizz are in for a RUDE awakening.

The greatest BS argument greedy elements in the gaming industry ever concocted was that cosmetic MTs needed to happen because of the growing costs of developing games.
Cosmetics are part of the fun & gameplay & they put it behind a paywall.
If you focus on making a better game instead, it will sell better & you will gain sthg no amount of MTs can get you, customer loyalty, a fan base.

I'm usually okay with cosmetics but I don't like the sound of it in Diablo 4. If I see a player all decked out I want to know it was because they earned their look by kicking some ass playing the game. Cosmetics will take away from that.

Can we just stop putting MTs in full-priced games? If it's a free game or even half the price then fair enough, I don't care. But if I have to spend £50 ($60) only to be harassed to pay extra for costumes and s**t. I miss the days when you saw someone with really cool stuff and you thought to yourself "They earned that" now it's "I wonder how much they paid for that"

Stop supporting game devs that do this kind of sh*t. Seriously, it's not worth it just to play the latest iteration of a game that's close to the one that came before it. EA is feeling the heat these days; there's a reason why.
