Which direction do you think is best for BioWare to take the Mass Effect series in?
Mass Effect 4 has the perfect chance to reintroduce dialogue skills, and Baldur's Gate 3 might be the blueprint BioWare needs.
I'm not so sure they can, most talent that made the old games as good as they were, has left Bioware.
They can always recruit old fellas,
And also, new devs can always learn and also new indie devs are very passionate evident from the amazing indie games heavy with these gameplay features.
I don't think anyone would wanna come back after the stories that were told from Anthem development. I just don't see it happening. It's a bit similar to blizz, some of the talent has come back there, but there has been a shift in the studio's culture and also what the higher ups expect/demand of them
After andromeda and veilguard i think it’s assured that the bioware we once knew has gone, I have little hope for me4. Hopefully i’m wrong.
While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.
I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.
Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.
Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.
Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.
some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

Mass Effect 4 if anything
However I'd like to see a focus on the RPG elements and not make it much of a full on action shooter, bring back the cool down weapons.
Shepard was breathing in the secret ending of Mass Effect 3 so go with that
Andromeda.
I think they could make ME 4. My thinking was it could start at the end of 3 with the crew pulling Shepard out of the light that was coming from the Reaper saying that he was indoctrinated. The whole ending after that would have been in his mind. The battle on earth would be the beginning.
Bioware should make a Dragon Age game that will not be a "live service" horse crap.
