Your console is running the low key beta version XD

AspiringProGenji2379d ago

Thanks for the beta testing. Now let the big guys run the game at the best specs

MadLad2379d ago

Damn. I hope you are playing this on an X, if anything.

chiefJohn1172379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

Lol y'all funny 4k 30 son. Congrats spending all that money to run it 10 frames better lol

maelstromb2379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

That's b/c texture quality, lighting and graphical effects/fidelity have all been lowered to optimize it for console hardware to ensure it runs at a constant 30fps. Comparing purely by framerates means absolutely nothing. Also, good luck running all the awesome mods on your console! lol

AspiringProGenji2379d ago

you have already spent more than what a high end PC cost by buying Xbox day one and an upgrade later, plus yearly subscription, and still have the inferior hardware and waiting years for a worthwhile game.

Hungryalpaca2379d ago

I’ll enjoy the high framerates, textures and effects.

bluebenjamin2379d ago

You will be playing at higher graphical settings than most of the steam users

chiefJohn1172379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

Aspiring I didn't buy the OG Xbox one day one. I bout it a year after release and only paid $200 for it ($400-$100 360 trade in-$100 game bundle trade in something pc can't do lol) and I spent around under $160 in subs this gen and got a bunch a free game I didn't ask for enjoyed which more than made up for the sub. Under $800 spent and a boat load of free games. I think I won.
Setting wise it's ultra vs Max big deal. One thing console misses out on is the awesome mods. Regardless ya wasted money buying something that pricey to barely run it better.

MadLad2379d ago

lol

Keep telling yourself your Xbox holds up to a mid-range gaming PC built today. It says 4k on my box, so framerates and settings be damned. 4k with a shaky framerate, and medium settings just looked better than 1440p with some anti-aliasing and hight to ultra settings, with a solid framerate that isn't at the bare minimum of playable. I'm sure.

chiefJohn1172378d ago

Idk if you knew this Ted but RDR2 on the X has solid fps it's not Shakey and graphics look great and improved from the one and PS4 which already looked on those. Y'all in denial now. Digital foundry already proved everything I'm saying. Stay in denial all you like not stopping my console from loving it 😜

my gtx 970 is sad because 4gb vram isn't enough for rdr2

Father__Merrin2380d ago

What rig will you need for 1080p 60fps at high settings

GameBoyColor2380d ago

prob atleast an 800$ ryzen build with any mid tier gpu currently out

Bnet3432379d ago

1080p? That's weak sauce in 2019 my brother lol

Movefasta19932379d ago

1080/60 > 4k/30 any day ,all day.

yoshatabi2379d ago

@movefaster 1440/70+fps > 4k/30 or 60 any day

Movefasta19932379d ago

@Yosha 1440p is the sweet spot, I agree, I have a 1440p monitor, but if I had to choose between fuck it, 900p and 60, 60 all day.

Bnet3432378d ago

@Movefasta1993 I play on a 2K monitor 165hz but depending on the game I'll play at 144hz. I don't play on 4K.

I keep getting full 3 second stops when I think my i56600k maxes out. My gtx 1080 is at max also and I've dropped resolution but that hardly makes a difference. I need to individually test each of the main settings to see which is effecting cpu use the most.

1440, 120fps is getting the same stops as 900p, 60fps. So maybe texture streaming, I'm using a portable ssd via usb3.0, maybe that? Can't wait for a tweak guide or I'll have to test myself.

Except for the occasional 3 sec stop it runs great and looks great.

i7-7700k and gtx 1080 (ultrawide res)here. I have everything high-to-ultra and I am getting 40-45 fps with drops to 33-40 fps when there’s a lot going on. I have been tweaking a lot in the starting area and will wait till I get to horse shoe to further tweak stuff. So far this card is rocking the game just fine. I haven’t experience any stops yet but my screen was glitching a lot when I turnedd FXAA and MXAA on. I just left the temporary AA On medium and it is fine

So i expect I can tweak settings even more with my gtx1080ti. Good to know.

You think Rockstar views Red Dead 2 as a failure because it didn't sell 150m copies?

jznrpg186d ago

3 billion or so in revenue not including online stuff I’m sure they don’t

SethNW186d ago

I am pretty sure they don't. It was profitable and made them a lot of money. Not GTA5 money but far from failure. Maybe it is lower priority franchise, due to being smaller, but that is about the lowest they would put it as. Only thing they do consider failure is RDR2 Online, unlike GTA5 Online, that RDR2 Online flopped. Hence why it got less support. And when it come to profits, sales for both combined don't come close to GTA Online microtansactions. Hence why everything very quickly got canceled and GTA Online was top priority, so no GTA6 for a long time, no DLC for GTA5, despite there being 5 DLCs planned, at least I think it was 5, give or take one. But as I see it, they needed to rejuvenate interest and all, hence why GTA6 eventually is getting made. But what they are really looking forward to is refresh of Online.

ZeekQuattro185d ago

Only in terms of the online aspect of the game. They didn't support it as much as they did GTA V Online. I remember people being pissed about that.

jznrpg186d ago

I own a few GTAs but never played them. I love Red Dead though

Yui_Suzumiya180d ago (Edited 180d ago )

Boring and overrated. Red Dead Redemption is pretty good though. The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is my personal GOAT. We need more stuff like that from TooKyo.

victorMaje186d ago

I must be one of the few who are fine with the GTA6 delay. People treat that game like it’s the 2nd coming lol.

FIELDMARSHALL_P185d ago

My daughter asked me how I felt about I shrugged and said I don't care gives me time to finish up games I already have. It's all good let them make the best game they can.

RedDevils186d ago

Wish they make another Manhunt or Bully.

gold_drake186d ago

damn, thats a ridiculous number

The world they built is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, the game was mostly boring to me. I definitely had fun in some parts, but it didn't do it for me as a whole like the first one did. I loved RDR so much.

The budgets and time it takes to make games these days is out of control. Such a big risk. If a game isn't a huge hit, it is often it for a studio. Scary. I really miss the PS2 and PS3 days where studeios could make 4 games in a generation and take risks in making something new. And so many were using their own engines. Those were the days.

neutralgamer1992190d ago

Agreed. I love RDR but couldn't get into RDR2. The animations take forever and game slows you down on purpose. It won't let you have fun because R* want us to play the game they want to. I know millions love RDR2 and I even bought and own it. But just wasn't for me.

It's like comparing GTA4 to saints row 2. One game was about fun while the other was about realism and that's coming from someone who beat GTA4 many times. I much rather a game be fun to play than chase realism

YodaCracker190d ago

GTA IV’s realism is what made it so much more fun for me. I loved experimenting with the physics.

Storm23189d ago

I bought RDR2 also. Put 100+ hours into it and beat it our of respect for Rockstar and all the people saying it was the greatest game ever. RDR blew my mind but might also have been the best time in gaming for me personally. l loved that PS3 gen so much.

I am excited to see what GTA6 is like.
