Both Activision and Infinity Ward have denied the notion of Modern Warfare loot boxes, but similar incidents in the past have fans wary.

Probably? 100% that lootboxes are coming. These big companies are all liars and they don't even care. They will lie straight to your face by looking you in the eye and they wilk sleep just as soundly at night as the day before. These people have no souls. What does anyone expect really?

neutralgamer19922385d ago

Exactly they have figured out way to get good reviews at launch than do whatever they want

UltraNova2385d ago

I've been saying that since summer... problem is that I've read/seen many reviews from good reviewers giving praise to Activision for not including LBs in the game, which undoubtedly counted towards final scoring - Angry Joe's review would be an example.

Companies lie and idiots will buy their stuff. I think the companies have more soul than people who keep blindly supporting this crap.

Thinking of a word.
Starts with "D", ends in "uh"

*Modern Warfare will have loot boxes

Fixed.

porkChop2385d ago

Nothing in this article actually points to loot boxes being introduced. Does the author not understand the difference between loot boxes and microtransactions? Both are bad, sure, but they're not the same thing.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing17d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing17d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
