Anthem is the biggest failure this gen

Well he wasn’t exactly doing a great job anyway. If I had to chose between buying Anthem or Fallout 1st I honestly would chose Fallout

Dragon Age 4 Is going on the same road.

I can actually picture one guy in the studio running around back and forth trying to make that game worth it.

People give Sean Murray a ton of crap for NMS but this is a great example of crappy dev support. At least Murray stuck around and fixed his game. I'd rather buy another flop from Hello Games, at least I know they'd fix it and not outright abandon it.

I feel for those who bought into this or didn't heed the signs. EA has a disturbing history that saw them come to prominence and start buying up studio after studio in the 90's and 00's. Studios that at one time were delivering awesome games until the EA acquisitions and then they were ran into the ground!

It's taken more time with Bioware but we're heading there and if you'd told me in 2005 that Bioware would be in the position they are in now I'd call you crazy. I wouldn't, couldn't believed you because Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire blew my mind! Then came Mass Effect and Dragon Age Origins but with the release of DA2 you could start to see them fumbling.

Now we can look at their latest offerings in Andromeda and Anthem and it doesn't take a detective to see how the quality has went in the toilet and those sunny days are gone.

Anthem and its initial trailer are what's wrong with the industry. All flash but no substance. Several of the big companies suffer from this and it's why they are in the position so they are in.

EA executive to shareholders : anthem didn't do so well are we out of touch...no it's the gamers that are out of touch. Announce our plans to double down on live service gaas titles that'll get people excited.

Good. Don't stay on a sinking ship. And I mean that in terms of both Anthem AND Bioware. Garbage game from a now garbage developer.

By now, the story of Bioware has devolved into a bad comedy. I never would have believed that both Bioware and Bethesda would fall so far from grace. How will either of them regain their reputations? That may not even be possible now.

Could be a sign that EA might slowly be closing down Bioware

Can you just shove out the last Dragon Age game and finally just close the studio? I've been saying that that is the plan for a while now. I don't even think the game doing well critically and commercially would stop said inevitability. Watching Bioware of today is like torturing both yourself, and the family dog, by keeping it on life support because of the "memories".
We have Baldur's Gate, Kotor, (some) of the Dragon Age games and (some) of the Mass Effect games. We'll always have them … it's time to let go.

Not a concern at all, feel very confident in Bioware, might buy up some stock in it.

Yeah, this is looking like a wrap. Most of Bioware's good, veteran staff are gone. That's Bioware magic for you, making people disappear.

So where is the sign up sheet for the lawsuit against EA for ripping people off on this game?

Right, because only one person runs live service, and only one person makes a game. I guess bashing Bioware and anthem is so much fun that this will continue forever. This is not the only game in history to fail to live up to its expectations, let it go already.
