The problem with infamous, every part have it problem and all share one main problem, which is boring progressing (especially InFamous SS) first two were superior but oddly enough SS have these fast movement while "lightning power" of Cole didn't gave him that flexibility. I really want Cole to return by a way or another then improve upon it giving him Ice, Lightning and other cool features, with. I really find InFamous the most premium package for super power open world game ever.

The generation started with Bang thanks to second sun I'd love for the infamous games to come back but wayore depth is needed I'd love to play a protagonist that's more tied in with the world like Cole was at the start of 1. I enjoyed second son but felt like the entire city was wasted on just being a sandbox of destruction which was pretty but static nothing mattered.

I'd love to see the game take more of a narrative approach and build depth into characters

Infamous 1 and 2 where awesome second son is meh, I think my issue with second son is the powers are not as fun as coles

Infamous Second Son was my very first PS4 game. I even bought it several months before owning a PS4, because of a sale or smthg. I loved every bit of it, and I still play it from time to time in such amazement that I'm thinking I can't possibly let myself live whatever life without ever going at least once to the Pacific Western Coast of the USA to visit Seattle, which in the game is painted as one of the coolest city ever (minus those dark towers built by that, erm you know)
The previous 2 games were good (well, the first one had unfortunately a city that was way too drab and dreary and lacked things to do as side-missions), but Infamous Second Son (great title btw) was great for a first-batch game, what with all those powers and the choice, again, to be infamous, and was marred only by the fact that the city could have been bigger and allowed for more interaction (like getting in the shuttle, or having more interiors), and the story started abruptly, even for someone who had played the previous instalments. But it was definitely solid enough to warrant a sequel, whenever Sucker Punch are done with the development of Ghost of Tsushima.
I wonder if Infamous First Light is worth it, by the way?

Doubtful unless they expanded their studio, Ghosts of Tsushima is without doubt cross gen, in fact many titles next year will release on both gen consoles to maximize sales: Cyberpunk 2077, Halo, Assassins Creed and the rumoured Batman game from WB Montreal.

I really miss coles electric powers. If only they could just bring him back or give us a new character with his powers. The smoke and multiple different powers with Delsin was.....eh. Id rather just focus on one power and be able to upgrade it a ton and unlock many skills and whatnot. Quality over quantity.

Sony has so many great dominant IP's that they can bring back, such as Infamous, Socom, Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Siren, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rushy, Motorstorm, Wild Arms, Resistance, Wipeout, Alundra, Colony Wars, Cool Boarders, Knack, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud, Omega Boost, The Legend of Dragoon, G-Police, The Getaway and so on. Many of these games is what defines Playstation and sets them apart in previous generations.

I rather they focus on that, instead of Live Service games that's been so heavily invested now days.

They could also work with third parties developers to bring these franchises back like Parasite Eve, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, Dino Crisis, Ridge Racer, SSX, Tenchu, Jade Cocoon, Xenogears, Lunar Silver Star, Nightmare Creatures, Vagrant Story, Shadow Hearts, Driver, Breath of Fire, Tomba, Legend of Legaia, Okami..etc

I'm more of a new IP dude but infamous is one of the few series I want more of. Second son 2 where you play as delsin, fetch, and the video game guy (eugene I think?), Infamous 3 where cole comes back and maybe teams up with delsin against a new threat, A new game where maybe you pllay as another new protag who has to fight against an evil deslin who got messed up from absorbing too many powers and became some unstable super powered dude similar to the beast in infamous 2. Or just a whole new plot, characters and city. Series has a lot of potential

Problem with infamous is the morality system played into the endings in all the games so even though the player gets a choice for good of bad ending a sequel typically has to chose one of those endings to make cannon which may not align with players.

However I would love another one of these games they were all amazing

God I hope so. I’d be down with a new character, maybe in somewhere not in the US, like put it in London, Prague, Venice, somewhere iconic.
