Rumors around Fable are everywhere, with many wanting the title to return, so here's why Microsoft should reboot the Fable franchise.

The Outerhaven writes: Being fans of Fable, we decided to do an in-depth retrospective on the Fable franchise, exploring its choices, consequences, tone, and lasting impact on RPG design.

As we approach the new Xbox Direct, we reveal never-before-seen Fable concept art featuring werewolves, the return of Bloodstone, and more.
If they keep that ugly ass protagonist they can count me out... Don't have to be Stellar Blade level because it would even fit the mood of the game, and frankly it is a bit exaggerated, but could be at least presentable.
I hope the do away with the main characters model. It is ugly and looks neither male nor female which is disgusting. It may prevent me from purchasing it is really a product of woke bs.
I won't get hyped because I got hyped for Perfect Dark and I saw what happened there. Perfect Dark would have been freakin sweet.

Personally it would be nice to start fresh
They went too far into the future and rather quickly adding guns and the like when they should have stayed in that old age fantasy world a little longer.
If they wanted to include guns and other technology advancements then they could have easily created a more "advanced" city where they decide to keep to themselves, least then more advanced technology wouldn't overflow into the rest of the world where everyone would have them. Not to mention fire arms or machines could be infused with magic rather then setting the game in the Industrial age, think how Elder Scrolls have done it with the lost Dwemer, they have bright crystals which act like room lights (could do their own street lamps like this) and have machines that seem to run off Dynamo Cores and Soul Gems.
We would love a new next gen Fable game! Hoever, since Playground disclosed that approaching Microsoft with their new RPG project was the deciding factor that made Phil Spencer acquire them, a new IP is probably what they´re working on, right now. :)
I'd love to see a new Fable. It is crazy to think how many great IPs, Microsoft just sits on. You have Fable, Shadowrun, Freelancer, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini, Conker, Crimson Skies, Project Gothem Racing, Mech Assault, Brute Force and Blood Wake, yet instead of getting sequels they just sit, to collect dust.
Really liked Fable 1.. Them going more industrial threw me off the bandwagon.
I really like the industrial setting of the third one. I say keep that era but reboot the series entirely.
