Daily Reaction is talking about why PS5 backwards compatibility is crucial to Sony's next-gen console and the future of gaming evolution.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

YES!
It's definitely a great feature and I'm hoping it will have it for Sony's past gen games also....BC is definitely a great feature but not necessary to have.
Of course it matters to be fully backwards compat with PS4. SONY have already announced that it will be. PS3, PS2 and PS1 not really that important, and maybe it is still happening, but I personally don't care one little bit about that. But PS4 bc is a must
Ofcourse it does. I'm not ditching my PS4 library just because the PS5 releases. I've still got a sizable backlog of quality AAA PS4 games that I'm still enjoying and working my way through. I'm not going to ditch it all just because a new console is out.
Backwards compatibility means I can kill two birds with one stone. I can get the new PS4 console as well as still play through my backlog. It's a win win.
It's not a make or break feature personally, but it's certainly a big plus, a MASSIVE plus if the BC includes older systems as i have a large library of ps3/2/1 games still
