Polygon: The last version of Microsoft Flight Simulator came out in 2006. Many, myself included, had written the franchise off for dead. Now it’s back, due out for PC and Xbox One in 2020, with a sophisticated set of assets pulled directly from satellite imagery on Bing. Earlier this month I traveled to Seattle for a hands-on demonstration of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Later, I sat down with Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, to answer the question: Why now?
“I think there’s probably two answers to the question,” Neumann told me. “One is more of a corporate answer; Phil got promoted.”
Microsoft just shared new details about what's coming for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and even a few tidbits about MSFS 2020.
Propair Flight released a new airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020, and it's Brussels South Charleroi Airport in Belgium.
Earlier this month, ToLiss and Aerosoft released the Airbus A340-600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020, delighting the community.
When did Microsoft leave PC gaming?
Okay that's cool
its about time. Flight Simulator isnt just a game, its a powerful tool.
Pretty sure their power move was bringing all their console exclusives to pc day and date with the console release, flight simulator is just an acknowledgment of pc players tastes being different than console players imo.
The true power of the Cloud.
