The title is extremely misleading. The article says it also runs better on Switch than it does on PC because they've been able to apply new optimizations to it since it's the latest version of the game......

Not that it will help allot seeing how blurry the game is in docked mode and even in portable mode. It’s really cool the game is in the Switch but it’s absolutely the worst way you can play the game..

Only the sprite animations run 60 fps, not the whole game.

I'm not surprised. There's a reason they stick to only gears, halo, and forza. Xbox base is pretty notorious for only playing shooters, racers, and sports games.

Why is this listed for PS4 in the article? It isn't on PS4! It doesn't even say Xbox One. It says " out Now for PC, PS4 and Switch" !

The reasons is VERY SIMPLE why Ori runs smoother on the Switch at 60 fps and at 30 on XB. CUZ of the CPU cores on the Switch are not the shit "jaguar cores" that resides on XBOX(or PS4)

This is DIRECTLY why on next-gen consoles running on the advanced RyZEN cores, frame-rates will not be an issue. nuff said. Mike drops. Next article please

Title is misleading. It’s actually about how the devs put more optimizations and work into the game for Switch (doing animation cycles at 60 FPS instead of 30 on Xbox) AFTER the game had already been released for Xbox. It’s not that the Switch just runs it better and the Xbox version could run the same optimizations.

I personally like to add that the switch version also runs a quarter of the resolution of the one X version which is native 4K.

Headline isn't truly accurate. Basically, additional work was put into the game to make it run differently on Switch , not that the hardware is running the game better. They could have gone back and done additional sprite work to the other versions as well possibly, but chose not to. Could have been too costly, or difficult to patch without rebuilding the game, as they were already doing for the Switch version.
Anyways, been said already, just reiterating if someone missed.

5 years from now everyone is going to want to be game streaming and Xbox xcloud is going to be the most consumer friendly best functioning of any platform. They dont need to worry about hardware. Everyones going to be fighting for streaming when it becomes good enough.Just like how everyones fighting for the movie streaming platforms and music.

Theres a reason sony just partnered with MS to use MS server structure for sonys version of cloud streaming.MS will win either way and we both get easy access to the top 2 gaming brands

So, the devs worked on what they already had and improved what they should of accomplish from start.

I am sure they didn’t try to push the switch like the Xbox. Not a fanboy of either. Next up : mobile version of game performs better than pc version. Sheesh.

Just go third party Xbox to make money from services and software like the company you represents.

It’s all due to optimizations/updates not power. They applied the continued optimization of Ori and combined it with the improvements made for Wisps for the Switch. Nothing that can’t be updated later on PC/One

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
