Into the Radius VR Teaser

Coming in 2020 Into the Radius is a single-player VR game. Search for artifacts and survive inside a Radius zone filled with dangerous anomalies.

Looks interesting. I found this description of the game on GiantBomb.com

"Into the Radius is a dark and atmospheric VR game available on Steam Early Access and supports HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality systems. The game is inspired by the book ‘Roadside Picnic’ by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, along with the themes and atmosphere from Stalker, Stephen King, and Myst.

Set in an unknown Eastern European no-man's land where players earn money by scavenging supplies and strange objects known as artifacts, (the artifacts are located using a special detector, which alerts in their proximity.)

Core gameplay features for Into the Radius includes realistic guns and firearms interaction, survival and environmental exploration in a Radius zone filled with dangerous anomalies and a variety of enemies and hazardous environmental anomalies."

I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.

Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.

Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.

It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

Yeah. Not the best dev by a long shot, but I've heard Bulletstorm improved a lot after the initial launch and all the complaints.

I bought Bulletstorm VR but couldn’t get into it at the time, the controls were a bit off, but at the time I was finishing up Arizona Sunshine1/2. Most likely the reason the controls felt off, plan to go back to it soon.

I really wanted to love Outriders. I was hooked on it at first but it was so janky the further I got into it. I had to force myself to finish the game. I liked it just enough to buy the expansion but I burned through that jankfest also. It sorta gave me Division 2 vibes a little bit and that's what helped me through it. I don't think I would trust any of their VR stuff anyway.

Playing it right now looks amazing! :D
so much fun, i hope they make a vr mod for crysis 2 / 3 too!

DivineHand125471d ago

This is amazing. This is the direction VR should go in to boost adoption. Since I have beaten every Crysis except 1, this is now a good excuse to correct that problem.
