Aaron plays some Redeemer: Enhanced Edition for the Nintendo Switch and controls a man who just wants to meditate. He is unfortunately forced to punch hundreds of people in the face to their death, at best.

Redeemer is all about the player having a blast destroying whatever enemy comes to deter you from your path. The story here is B movie quality bridging the gameplay together. Redeemer’s gameplay does hover around a repetitive process, however, the variety associated with level designs and enemy types, as well as enemy attacks, allows the game to maintain a fresh experience.

Redeemer was originally released on PCs in 2017. The Enhanced Edition has made its way to consoles, including the Switch. Let’s see if the top down action game/brawler can set itself apart from similar games of the genre.

Redeemer is a 2D top down action game. The gameplay in Redeemer is a straight up bloodbath. The main game mode is the campaign which has three different difficulties. The goal is to make it to the end of multiple different levels by destroying everything and everyone that stands in your path.
