Alan Wen for GameSpew: "When The Witcher 3 was announced for Switch, I couldn't believe it. And yet here I was, a Switch in my hands playing it. And what a sight to behold it is"

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

The latest revenue report from CD Projekt Group shows Xbox only made up 10% of sales for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in 2025.
Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂
Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.

According to Polish podcasters Rock and Boris, CD Projekt RED is reportedly planning a third DLC for The Witcher 3, set to release in 2026.
Sign me up. I haven’t played it since it released on PS4 so I could go for another run with a new DLC.
Is technical sorcery anything like pelvic sorcery?!
A game of this calibur and size handheld is nothing short of crazy, hope it runs as good as people are saying
Anyone with half a brain knows that the Switch is an impressive and interesting device for the price. It's funny how some people still call it weak and compare it to bigger , more powerful home consoles.
I mean, is it really that impressive? Let's ignore the fact that the game came out in May 2015, early enough in this gen that we weren't really seeing anything that pushed the capability of the generation yet. Also consider that PC hardware was substantially weaker than it is now, meaning the game was likely developed with 700 series Nvidia GeForce cards in mind for higher end gaming since the 970 and 980 cards only launched about six months before the game launched. Keeping the power of the Tegra X1 chipset in mind, what's in the Switch, it is ultimately a little over a third as powerful as a 750 Ti.
With all of this considered, if you basically turn the game down to low and remove a good portion of effects like increased foliage and more complex shadows, there's no reason you couldn't get a stable 30 FPS on the Switch with some optimization. Based on the footage available, that's precisely what they did, so I'm not even remotely surprised.
I figured it would be a fairly basic but functional version of the Witcher 3, and that's precisely what it's turning out to be.
They could get this to run on ps3 360.
