Why would anyone want EA games? EA games for the most part suck anymore.

It is always better to flip a coin when EA is involved in anything. They can do something good, then you get screwed another day.

I don't think the switches power has anything to do with it .... my opinion is that it's all too do with there relationship , can't remember if it was the Wii or the Wii u that Nintendo knocked back EA doing the online component for that system.... ever since then there relationship has been sour .
If I was a big publisher/games maker I would want as many of the company's games on the switch as possible no matter how much they had to be downgraded ... in fact I would have at least one big team making games exclusively for the system ..... there is currently 36 million or what ever the number is switches out there .... I know I would want too tap into that number of switch gamers .... EA has a problem with Nintendo ... not the switch , personally I think it's EA who are the big losers ... not Nintendo , Nintendo don't need EA and are doing just fine with out them . I'm a adult gamer and not one of my 160 plus switch games are a Nintendo exclusive... I love my Switch just as much as I love my PlayStation and Xbox... infact probably love it more and play it more .

Who cares? It’s that much easier to avoid giving EA a single red cent on the Switch. I don’t support their content on PS4, so its absence on the Switch is irrelevant to me.

EA and Nintendo have had “frosty” relationship since the SNES, due to marketing practices where Nintendo would release their 1st party games along side 3rd party games during the holiday season.

But this really stems from the Frostbite engine and how frustratingly unscalable/in-portable it is. If EA was running UR4, I have no doubt they would publishing games for Nintendo. But it is a money issue, porting games away from their current frostbite engine would probably cause more revenue issues than anything.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
