The main problem is that it's an mmo..

They completely ruined this game with that ridiculous raid.

And boom goes the dynamite

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2399d ago

The only thing ridiculous is your comment. That raid is the reason a lot of people are still playing D2. You must be one of the people who can’t beat it. There’s nothing ridiculous about the raid. Forcing players to communicate and work together to accomplish a goal is ridiculous? I’d love to hear your opinion of why the raid (which is optional) ruined the game.

The issue with the raid is that is was clearly designed with PC in mind. The raid is significantly easier on PC than console. I remember when it launched thousands of PC gamers beat it the first week with like a hundred between both consoles lol. Build diversity is also a problem. For most of its life so far its been a basic DPS build only. I haven't played in about a month or so, so maybe it has been updated. Like anything else, once more content is added it will be better.

Kostche2399d ago

nah, i finally stopped playing when they released that garbage raid, havent looked back

The raid was designed for PC, not consoles. Easy to tell based on how long it took for console first clear after PC. You need better accuracy that a controller can do compared to PC at times.

Incursions in TD1 weren't as bad in comparison to this raid. As for why people stick around: free cosmetic events, new instances/loot, dev communication, listening to players (skill builds), ...

@Jeff. Update last week made skill builds viable (not sure about in raids), and released an exotic glove that is skill build related.

The main problem is that they copped out of implementing matchmaking for the raid. A move of pure laziness, considering it is present for all the missions. That's why this game is already done

gums0072399d ago

Raids this difficult are not meant to have matchmaking ya pleb

Kabaneri2399d ago

Games are meant to played, this raid is TOO difficult and totally inaccessable for many players. The game died after it released. This stupid elitist no matchmaking mentality is why the Destiny franchise declined.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2399d ago

Matchmaking for a raid is completely ridiculous. I’ve beat the raid in under 22 mins dozens of times and my clan has beat it over 100 times. There’s NO WAY we could have accomplished that with random matchmaking. People don’t have mics, proper builds or basic knowledge of the raid in matchmaking. It’s the people who want an easy mode for the raid who want matchmaking and trust me when you try it you will get what you deserve...

JeffGUNZ2399d ago

I agree with you about raids. I always LFG for raids in Destiny and Division, but just add MM as an option. let people see how hard it will be, what is the harm? I personally wouldn't use it but I have no issue with them just adding that feature.

jpi2399d ago

Lol. The fact you've played the raid dozens of times says it all. You realize you are in the vast minority right?

BlackOni2399d ago

An option to matchmake for this is always going to be preferred over not having it at all. It's nice for those who have a dedicated clan who can take time out of their day to schedule a meetup to complete the raid, but the reality is not everyone has the time to do so with their friends. It gets even worse when we consider different time zones folks have to compete with to make something like that work.

One of the biggest issues it seems, is that Division 2 was dead set on reinventing the wheel, rather than learning from Division 1 and Destiny who had many of the same problems. They ignored many of those advancements and here we are.

While I have a clan I could coordinate a raid run with, the point is, I shouldn't HAVE to coordinate that as my only option for participating in the raid. It's a missed opportunity for folks to make new friends online. And to the point of randoms, in many games, I've actually accomplished more with someone who was random than someone I knew already.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2399d ago

If you think you shouldn’t have to coordinate during a RAID which is all about teamwork and COORDINATION then clearly raids aren’t for you. Doing a raid with random matchmade people is not the way to go in this raid trust me.
