I only upgraded to a 1070 ti a year ago and I am now at the point where my cpu and ram are 6 years old and they need to be upgraded before I think of getting a new GPU. That old CPU is really struggling to keep 60fps at 1440p.

I have the same setup, but figured the GPU needed to be upgraded first. Went with the 2070 Super. I'm not at 1440, but at 2560x1080P and it does great with it. Eventually I'll upgrade the rest, but that may be bit.

The 2070 Super offers better perf for the money if you check out benchmarks.

5700XT is around the same for $100 cheaper

Thats the way I would go if I were to buy a new card today. However, I'm waiting for the 5800 series, and I also want to find out what the actual specs of the next gen consoles are going to be first.

Sano642499d ago

About the same?!? It's not even close, hell the regular 2080 beats it in the majority of games out there.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit24d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing24d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9224d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
