I only upgraded to a 1070 ti a year ago and I am now at the point where my cpu and ram are 6 years old and they need to be upgraded before I think of getting a new GPU. That old CPU is really struggling to keep 60fps at 1440p.
The 2070 Super offers better perf for the money if you check out benchmarks.
