With Project xCloud on the horizon, Microsoft may need to do more to improve how games handle on mobile devices. Could it look something like this?

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Much prefer this strategy to something like the Switch or even the Switch Lite. No need for me to carry a dedicated games player on my person when I already have a phone and a Surface Go in my bag that can do much more than a Switch ever could. Microsoft allows gamers to choose the price point and power that best suites them and the games scale or down depending on the device you choose. Before my Go, I use to rock a Surface Book 15"...could play Gears 4 at 1080p and 60FPS comfortably. No way my Go plays any AAA game at that target but then again my Go only cost a fraction of the Book's price.
I don't know how practical these grips are...I use a standard Xbox One controller, but if it can support a nice amount of weight, I can see it working wonders for a tablet/phone.
So basically choose to use your 50 inch telly or 6 inch phone? 🤔
This would have been nice five years ago when phones had massive bezels, but they're useless now that they block 20% of the bezel-less screens.
nice one microsoft ive been wanting this on playstaion since the release of switch
