Doom Eternal will throw out both deathmatch and SnapMap in favor of Battlemode, an untested 2v1 multiplayer mode. Is this the right move for the franchise?
QuakeCon 2025 is officially underway, with the largest LAN party in North America also being the place for exciting news for id Software titles. From the return of a keystone franchise in the FPS genre to updates for DOOM: The Dark Ages, DOOM Eternal and more.

Big Bethesda Nintendo Switch eShop sale now live with lowest prices ever for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Doom (2016), and more.

TNS: "ADHD can be a rather depilating mental disorder, but I've learned to cope with it by always having these games on hand."
For me it's always been fighting games like SF, Tekken, GG etc.. it really gets my mental stack flowing and forced to take a thinking approach as opposed to playing brain dead.
Doom Eternal mp will be more successful if it has traditional arena shooter modes. Doom (2016) mp in my opinion was unbalanced and lacked synergy with the campaign. Many Including myself didn’t like the general lack of weapons on map, presence of load outs and the rather gimmicky op demon power ups.
I honestly don’t care Doom (2016) was all about the SP for me if the MP is good then awesome for all the people who want that in Doom Eternal but for me it’s all about the SP.
I really enjoyed Doom multiplayer. I think I got to level 30 before they reset all the ranks. I know that the single player did not prepare me at all for the multiplayer. I wish I would have STARTED my multiplayer experience with more knowledge on how to:
A) Use demons properly
B) Be able to load up a custom game by myself so I could familiarize myself with the map and power weapon spawn times/locations. id took like a year before allowing lone players to load up maps by themselves by adding in bots to the mix
C) Hide
D) And how imperative it is to follow power up trails for crying out loud.
Here's an HD clip of me getting a killing spree with the Prowler.
