Seemingly following Apple’s business model of the “evolving” product, Microsoft’s impressive reveal of the Elite 2 controller during their E3 press conference surprised many.

OH! GREAT
is it going to be
a cheaply made pieces of shit
again?

"Cheaply made pieces of shit
again?"

I am sorry dude, you probably never even touched the first Xbox One Elite Controller. You can argue all you want about pricing, whether it is worth it for you, etc. However, the thing is a damn solid controller and is only becoming better seemingly if they do not mess it up - which seems hard to do considering how well-made the first one was. The thing was more metal than plastic and quite light for what it was. All first-party controllers are mostly made well, it's the third-party ones you have to watch out for. I don't know if you saw the reviews for the first one, but your opinion is sorely a reactionary one at that.

It is an amazing controller, but it falls apart. Every person I know, including myself, who purchased one has had issues. The rubber grips fall off, it starts to drift, the buttons become spongy etc. Just Google any of this, it has widespread design flaws. But when new and before these flaws show it is the best controller I have used.

I should add that because Microsoft no of the widespread faults they did fix my 12 month old controller free of charge and without any issues.

I can see it doing well among PC gamers at the very least. For that chunk of change, I would expect Scarlett to support it.

No need to read beyond this... Has windows not evolved over time? Why is Apple getting credit for this model?

Think I'll buy a Switch Slim/lite instead

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing54d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit54d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing54d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9254d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
